The horror slasher film Scream 3, the third installment in the Scream franchise, was released in the United States on February 4, 2000. Prior to the film's release, an album by Wind-up Records was launched on January 25, 2000, marking the film's arrival.
The album featured eighteen tracks featuring artists such as System of a Down, Slipknot, Powerman 5000, Full Devil Jacket, Godsmack, Sevendust, Incubus, Static-X, and Coal Chamber. Their songs included Spiders, Wait and Bleed, Get On, Get Off, Wanna' Be Martyr, Time Bomb, Fall, Crowded Elevator, So Real, and Tyler's Song, respectively.

"While Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) lives in safely guarded seclusion, bodies begins dropping around the Hollywood set of Stab 3, the latest movie sequel based on the gruesome Greensboro killings."
