Shark Tale is an animated-comedy film directed by Vicky Jenson, Rob Letterman and Bibo Bergeron. The story is co-written by Letterman and Michael J. Wilson.
Bill Damaschke, Janet Healy and Allison Lyon Segan produced the film for DreamWorks Animation, and it was distributed by DreamWorks Pictures. It was released on October 1, 2004.
The film's synopsis, as per Rotten Tomatoes, reads:
"Underachiever Oscar (Will Smith) is a pint-sized fish with grand aspirations. When mob-connected great white shark Frankie (Michael Imperioli) is accidentally killed, Oscar concocts a story with Frankie's peace-loving brother Lenny (Jack Black) that it was he who murdered the shark."
It continues:
"Suddenly hailed "Sharkslayer" by his aquatic brethren, Oscar has bigger fish to fry when Frankie's father, mob boss Don Lino (Robert De Niro), dispatches his henchmen to track down his son's killer."

1) Will Smith as Oscar
The film's protagonist Oscar is a bluestreak cleaner wrasse, who works at the Whale Wash of Southside Reef. He's best friends with Angie and dreams of becoming rich and famous one day.
The Hollywood A-lister Will Smith made his acting debut with the popular 1990s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on NBC. He went on to have an illustrious film career and starred in blockbusters like Bad Boys, Independence Day, Ali, Men in Black, Aladdin, Enemy of the State, The Pursuit of Happyness, etc.
Smith won the Academy Award for his portrayal of Richard WIlliams in King Richard.
2) Robert De Niro as Don Lino
Don Lino is a great white shark and father of two sons, Lenny and Frankie. He's a mob leader, and his gang includes criminally inclined great white sharks, octopuses, sailfish and orcas.
Robert De Niro is a two-time Oscar winning actor whose film credits include The Godfather Part II, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Silver Linings Playbook, The Deer Hunter, The Intern, Once Upon a Time in America, Awakenings, Meet the Parents and Killers of the Flower Moon, among others.
3) Renee Zellweger as Angie
Angie is an angelfish who works with Oscar at the Whale Wash. She's Oscar's best friend and has a massive crush on him. The two fall in love by the end of the movie.
The talented actress Renée Zellweger is best known for her portrayal of Bridget Jones in the Bridget Jones film series, Ruby Thewes in Cold Mountain, Roxie Hart in Chicago and Judy Garland in Judy.
4) Angelina Jolie as Lola
Lola is a dazzling gold-digger lion fish who is known as a femme fatale. She gets romantically involved with Oscar after he becomes rich and famous, only to be dumped by him later.
Angelina Jolie has given commendable performances in films like Girl, Interrupted, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Wanted, Changeling, Salt, A Mighty Heart, etc.
5) Jack Black as Lenny
Lenny is the mobster Don Lino's youngest son and Frankie's younger brother. Contrary to his father and brother, Lenny is a peaceful vegetarian who forms a close friendship with Oscar and Angie.
Jack Black has acted in films like High Fidelity, Orange County, School of Rock, King Kong, Tropic Thunder, The Holiday, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level. He has also voiced the character of Po in the beloved Kung Fu Panda film franchise.
6) Martin Scorsese as Sykes
Sykes is a loan shark pufferfish who works for Don Lino. He's the owner of the Whale Wash, where Oscar and Angie work.
Martin Scorsese is an esteemed Hollywood filmmaker who has directed classic movies like Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, The Aviator, Gangs of New York and The Wolf of Wall Street, to name a few.
