Jack Lowden as River Cartwright

River Cartwright is an MI5 officer with great aspirations whose career comes crashing down because of a well-documented training error. Transferred to Slough House, River has decided to clear his name and rise above being a slow horse.

His ambition to prove his worth is always in competition with his colleagues and superiors, but his skills and commitment to the cause make him a fundamental figure in the events that unfold at Slough House.

British actor Jack Lowden has impressed audiences with his acting abilities in movies like Dunkirk and Mary Queen of Scots, characterized by his delicate strength.

Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner

Kristin Scott Thomas plays Diana Taverner, the Deputy Director General of the British intelligence Agency MI5, head of Operations, and known to be a dreadfully efficient person. Famed for being the Second desk, Taverner is an operative tactician in MI5’s hurricane politics.

In Slow Horses season 4, she takes care of slow horses and deals with Jackson Lamb, but these interactions are not easy and are often filled with conflict.

She is best remembered for her parts in The English Patient, where she earned an Academy Award nomination, and has been a part of the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish

Catherine Standish is the office administrator of Slough House. Having an alcoholic past and the death of her boss, a woman with whom she had a complicated relationship, does not prevent her from performing this role. Standish’s composure and sense of order and organization make her the pillar of Slough House, even though she fights her inner struggles and is surrounded by disorder.

Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy

Louisa Guy is a field officer who has her run of bad luck and ends up in Slough House after a tailing assignment is botched in Slow Horses season 4. Although she is stationed at a lower level, Louisa is still more resourceful and more frustrated than her colleagues, and more often than not correctly assumes complicated tasks - in particular in stressful Slough House conditions that are often combined in contrast.

Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho

In Slow Horses season 4, Roddy Ho, the computer whiz in Slough House, is an intelligent young man, but his sometimes obnoxious and arrogant attitude tends to drown out this intelligence. Although Roddy Ho is perceptibly socially embarrassing, his ability in the technical aspect of the task comes in handy with the slow horses, thus he is quite a useful member but not always wanted.
