Former American actress Amanda Bynes, best known for her role in What A Girl Wants, recently posted an Instagram story with the caption "Green-eyed girl", which sparked a strong reaction from internet users and fans of the former actress. The video was posted on August 14, 2024, featuring Amanda with chopped bangs, open hair, a heart-shaped face tattoo, and a septum piercing.
Her swollen lips were evident in the video and the former actress' appearance garnered a response from internet users, who expressed their opinion on the same via X (formerly Twitter).
One of the fans referred to the increase in the number of surgeries celebrities get done to enhance their facial features and tweeted:

"Who says you can’t make it in Hollywood?" an X user tweeted, alleging facial surgeries have become important to make it in Hollywood.

Additionally, internet users also blamed Amanda's parents and American television producer Dan Schneider for the former actress' condition:

Comparing Amanda to singer Britney Spears, both victims of conservatorship, an X user commented:

A famous child actor in the late 90s and early 2000s, Bynes featured in The Amanda Show and movies like Easy A and Big Fat Liar. Amanda Bynes announced her retirement from acting in 2010. As per Entertainment Weekly's record of her tweet in 2010, the actress mentioned:
"If I don’t love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don’t love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it. I know 24 is a young age to retire, but you heard it here first."
After retiring from acting, Amanda suffered from substance and alcohol abuse and in 2013 the former actress' parents filed for a conservatorship over her, which ended in 2022. Through the course of her conservatorship, the former actress received the required treatment and was also diagnosed as bipolar in 2018.
Amanda Bynes often updates her fans about her life via Instagram. In March 2024, the former actress posted an Instagram story stating:
"I've gained over 20lbs in the past few months from being depressed. I'm doing a lot better now and have learned to do opposite action when I don't feel like working out or eating clean. I weigh 162lbs right now and want to get back to 110lbs."

While Amanda did not return to acting, she started a podcast in December 2023 called Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast.
However, the former actress announced pausing the podcast in the same month stating that she is not able to get the guests she wanted to on the show, such as Post Malone or Drake. She also added that she would resume the podcast once such stars, who are on her guest list, agree.
