Speak No Evil is a Danish psychological thriller directed by Christian Tafdrup and written by him and his brother, Mads Tafdrup. Jacob Jarek serves as the producer of the film, which is distributed by Nordisk Film. It premiered in Denmark on March 17, 2022, and in the Netherlands on July 21, 2022.
The film revolves around the Danish couple, Bjørn and Louise, who visit the home of a newly-acquainted Dutch couple, Patrick and Karin, for a weekend getaway. However, the Danes soon find themselves in a nightmarish situation that has the potential to turn deadly.
According to Prime Video, the synopsis of Speak No Evil reads:
"A Danish family visits a Dutch family they met on a holiday. What was supposed to be an idyllic weekend slowly starts unraveling as the Danes try to stay polite in the face of unpleasantness."

1) Morten Burian as Bjørn

Bjørn and his wife, Louise, befriend a Dutch couple, Patrick and Karin, while holidaying in Tuscany. They visit their home, along with their daughter Agnes, over the weekend. But they slowly realize that Patrick and Karin are not who they say they are.
Morten Burian is a Danish actor who has starred in numerous television shows like Dark Horse, One of the Boys, Replay, etc. Additionally, he has appeared in films like Sons of Denmark, The Promised Land, Loving Adults, and The Yard, to name a few.
2) Sidsel Siem Koch as Louise

Louise is Bjørn's wife and Agnes' mother. She feels increasingly unsettled by Patrick's erratic behavior before getting killed, along with her husband, by the Dutch couple.
Sidsel Siem Koch is an actress best known for starring in television shows like Doggystyle, Frederik IX, and Borgen. Her film appearances include The Day We Died, Itsi Bitsi, and Hvidstengruppen II - De efterladte.
3) Fedja van Huêt as Patrick

Patrick introduces himself as a doctor to his new friends, but his aggressive and creepy behavior soon reveals a darker side. In the end, Patrick and his wife, Karin, are revealed to be serial killers who murder unsuspecting couples after befriending them.
Fedja van Huêt is a Dutch actor who trained at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts. His film credits include Amsterdam Vice, The Zigzag Kid, The Little Gangster, The Preacher, etc. Additionally, he has acted in the Prime Video series Maxton Hall—The World Between Us, released in 2024.
4) Karina Smulders as Karin

Patrick's wife, Karin, appears passive in her husband's presence. Nevertheless, she is an accomplice in his murders and cuts off Agnes' tongue in the film's climax.
Dutch actress Karina Smulders has starred in such films as Wild Romance, Alle tijd, Wil, Bride Flight, Jackie & Oopjen, and others. Her television roles include starring in Women of the Night, The Neighbors, Familie Kruys, etc.
5) Liva Forsberg as Agnes

Agnes is the daughter of Bjørn and Louise. After her parents are murdered, Karin cuts off her tongue and turns Agnes mute. Patrick and Karin pass her off as their daughter to the next couple they encounter.
Liva Forsberg has played Le Thulin in the Netflix series The Chestnut Man and Datter in the satire program Tæt på sandheden.
6) Marius Damslev as Abel

Patrick and Karin introduce Abel as their mute son to the Danish couple. Bjørn and Louise watch Patrick abusing Abel throughout their time together, which culminates in Abel's death by drowning in the swimming pool.
Marius Damslev is a Danish actor who has starred as William in the television series Minkavlerne, Billy in When the Dust Settles, and Birk in Hånd i hånd, among others. Furthermore, he has played the character of Lasse tre år in the film Becoming Astrid.
7) Hichem Yacoubi as Muhajid

Muhajid is the babysitter hired by Patrick and Karin to look after the kids, Agnes and Abel, while they dine out with the couple. He ends up being the murderous couple's partner-in-crime.
Hichem Yacoubi is a Tunisian-born French actor who has acted in Steven Spielberg's Munich, A Prophet, L'Equilibre de la terreur, La gardav, and Arab Blues. Furthermore, he has been part of television shows like Les Bâtisseurs de Pyramides, Monsieur Spade, etc.
Speak No Evil has been remade into an American film of the same name, set to release on September 13, 2024. The movie is directed by James Watkins and stars James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, etc. in lead roles.
