The psychological horror film, Speak No Evil, is a remake of a Danish film of the same name by Christian Tafdrup, released in 2022. The American film, written and directed by James Watkins, and produced by Jason Blum and Paul Ritchie released theatrically on September 13, 2024.
The film's premise involves the British couple, Paddy and Ciara, inviting the American family - Ben Dalton, his wife Louise, and their daughter Agnes - for a weekend trip to their countryside estate. During their stay, the guests become unnerved by Paddy's treatment of his son, Ant. The Daltons soon realize that Paddy and Ciara are serial killers and that they are their latest victims.

1) James McAvoy as Paddy
The renowned Scottish actor James McAvoy plays the charming serial killer, Paddy, in the movie. He invites an unsuspecting American couple to his house with the intention of murdering them.
McAvoy has given memorable performances in acclaimed films like Atonement, The Last King of Scotland, Wanted, Split, It Chapter Two, among others. On television, he has appeared in the 2003 thriller State of Play, Frank Herbert's Children of Dune, and the Channel 4 series Shameless.
2) Aisling Franciosi as Ciara
Ciara is played by the Irish actress, Aisling Franciosi. She is Paddy's wife and an accomplice in his plans to kill the Daltons and abduct their daughter, Agnes.
Her film credits include The Nightingale, The Unforgivable, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, God's Creatures, etc. Moreover, she is credited with starring in television shows like The Fall, Legends, Genius: Picasso, Clique, and BBC's miniseries Black Narcissus, among others.
3) Dan Hough as Ant
Ant is introduced as Paddy and Ciara's son and is often seen being mistreated by Paddy in the film. Ant, who is a mute, reveals to Agnes that his so-called parents are serial killers and escapes with the Daltons at the end of the film.

Ben Dalton is Louise's husband and Agnes's father. He arrives with his family at Paddy and Ciara's house for a relaxing weekend trip, which quickly turns into a nightmare.
