Star Trek: Section 31 sees a new threat come up against the United Federation of Planets and a new team of Section 31 operatives recruits Emperor Georgiou to save the Federation. Directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi and written by Craig Sweeny, Star Trek: Section 31 is a television movie that premiered on January 24, 2025, on Paramount Plus.

The show brings to us a stellar cast led by Michelle Yeoh as the antihero Emperor Phillippa Georgiou. She is joined by Omari Hardwick and Kacey Rohl among others.

1. Michelle Yeoh As Emperor Philippa Georgiou

Michelle Yeoh is a Malaysian actor who rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s by starring in Hong Kong action and martial arts films like Yes, Madam (1985), Police Story 3: Super Cop (1992), and Wing Chun (1994). She moved to the United States to pursue her acting career and gained international recognition for her roles in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) and Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000).

Yeoh has also starred in Memoirs of a Geisha (2005), Sunshine (2007), and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). She played a supporting role in the television series Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2020) and also did voice acting for Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011), Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022), and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023).

Michelle Yeoh won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her starring role as Evelyn Quan Wang in Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022). She returns to the Star Trek Universe as Emperor Georgiou, the former ruler of the Mirror Universe's Terran Empire, for Star Trek: Section 31.

As a new enemy emerges who has ties to her past, Georgiou is pulled back into Section 31 to save the Federation.

2. Omar Hardwick As Alok Sahar

Omari Latif Hardwick is an American actor who is best known for his role as James St. Patrick / Ghost, the protagonist of Power, and Vanderohe in Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead (2021). Hardwick has also starred in Spike Lee's Miracle at St. Anna (2008), Kick-Ass (2010), Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls (2010), and BET Network's Being Mary Jane.

Omar Hardwick bagged a 2025 Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Poetry Album nomination for the album Concrete & Whiskey Act II Part 1: A Bourbon 30 Series. He stars as Alok Sahar, the leader of the Section 31 team that recruits Emperor Georgiou to save the Federation in Star Trek: Section 31.

While Alok does not trust Georgiou, he is dedicated to the mission of saving the Federation and knows Georgiou is the best person to help with this.

3. Kacey Rohl as Rachel Garrett

Kacey Rohl is a Canadian actor who is best known for her roles as Sterling Fitch in the television show The Killing, Prudence in Red Riding Hood, and Abigail Hobbs in Hannibal. She has also starred as Jenna Engel in the 2014 television sitcom Working the Engels and as Kerry Campbell in Wayward Pines season 2.

Rohl also played the lead role of Katie Arneson in the 2018 Canadian psychological thriller film White Lie. She joins the cast of Star Trek: Section 31 as Lt. Rachel Garrett, who is a member of Section 31 as a representative of Starfleet.
