The Calendar Killer is a psychological thriller by Adolfo J. Kolmerer, scheduled to be released on January 16, 2025, on Amazon Prime Video. The film is based on the bestselling German novel Der Heimweg by Sebastian Fitzek.

The lead cast includes Luise Heyer as Klara, Sabin Tambrea as Jules, and Friedrich Mücke as Martin. Luise Heyer plays a mother in desperate need, and Sabin Tambrea plays a helpline operator who becomes her only hope for survival.

A terrorized mother receives a fearful ultimatum from the Calendar Killer. She is going to die unless she kills her husband instead.

Heyer is known also for her presence in The Silent Revolution (2018), an athlete, while in The Last Word (2019). Meanwhile, she can be seen starring as Isabel in Westwind (2011) and portrayed Sanna in the film Jack (2014), an entry at Berlinale.

She also featured in The Most Beautiful Couple (2018) and All About Me (2018), for which she was nominated for the German Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.


Sabin Tambrea as Jules

Sabin Tambrea plays helpline operator Jules Tannberg and Klara's lifeline in her hour of crisis. Jules volunteers for a telephone service for women who commute home late at night and want a companion over the phone or to call for help in an emergency.

Tambrea has acted in The White Crow (2018) and appeared in the long-running German series Tatort. He was also seen in Dunkelstadt (2020) and the German series 4 Blocks (2017-2019).


Friedrich Mücke as Martin

Klara's estranged husband is portrayed by Friedrich Mücke. His fate is uncertain as the killer forces his wife Klara to choose to either die or kill him.

Mücke is known for his work in The Wave (2008) and The Last Days (2013). He also featured in the popular comedy series Fack ju Göhte (2013) and its sequels. Mücke also featured in The Silent Revolution (2018) and has been part of several stage plays.


Rainer Bock as HC

A minor character whose presence complicates the story. Bock has been featured in films such as The Lives of Others (2006) and In the Fade (2017). He has made many guest appearances in the television series Tatort and acted in such films as The Baader Meinhof Complex (2008).


Andreas Döhler as Hendrik

Another important role that supports the drama unfolding. Döhler has been involved in several German television series, such as Tatort, where he has appeared multiple times. He was in Die Hände meiner Mutter (2016) and Schneller als die Angst (2021). He also acted in the historical miniseries The Heavy Water War (2015). Döhler was also in Im Westen nichts Neues (2022).


Dennenesch Zoudé as Meret

An emotional figure in the drama. Zoudé has already been seen several times in the continuing series Tatort. She played lead roles in Gegen den Wind (1995/96). She also made appearances in some films, like Meine Mutter tanzend (2006). Zoudé was involved in the shooting of Charlie's Angels (2019), according to Sortir à Paris.
