Plot Summary of The Calendar Killer

The plot of The Calendar Killer is a gripping psychological thriller set throughout a single night in Berlin. The story introduces Jules working for a helpline, dealing strictly with helping women in danger. On what might otherwise be a quiet night, all of that changes when Klara, a frantic young mother, calls him with the fear that she is the next target of an infamous female killer called Calendar Killer.

The Calendar Killer was known to have left an infamous signature at every crime scene, and this consisted of the date of the death of the victim marked in blood on the wall. Klara confesses to Jules that she has received a dreadful ultimatum; she has been given the task of killing her estranged husband, Martin, or else die herself at the hands of the killer.

This creates a tense battle against the clock as Jules tries to help Klara manage her increasing panic and desperation. With every passing night, Jules learns about Klara's distressed marriage and husband who has complete control over her. Through flashbacks, a timeline of Klara's emotional torture is revealed that not only gives depth to her character but also depicts her tragic situation.
