What is the film about? Plot summary explored
Ebony Jackson and her three children Nate, Shante, and Dre move to a new home and are joined by their grandmother Alberta. At the beginning of the film, it is revealed that a Child Protective Services worker Cynthia is also assigned to the family, due to Ebony's history with alcohol.
The youngest son Dre starts talking to an unseen presence in the house. This leads to multiple worrying events, such as bruises on the children's arms, causing Cynthia to intervene. After no proof of violence is found, a pastor comes to their home.
The Pastor informs the family that a demon is possessing the home. They perform a supernatural procedure to rescue Dre from the demon. They manage to deal with the crisis, and Ebony gains full custody of her children again.
