The Fabulous Four: Full list of cast in the movie

The Fabulous Four, an upcoming "uproarious comedy" about a group of four BFFs and a surprise wedding, is set to release in movie theaters on July 26, 2024.

The official logline and the first trailer, which debuted during the June 16 broadcast of the 2024 Tony Awards, give viewers a closer look at the three college pals Lou, Alice, and Kitty who travel to Key West, Florida, to attend and become bridesmaids in their other college girlfriend Marilyn's surprise wedding.

The leading ladies butt heads — and have run-ins with social media stardom after making hilarious TikToks, smoking pot and stopping thieves — along the way.

Coming from the director of The Dressmaker and Boy Swallows Universe, Jocelyn Moorhouse, the comedy film stars Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler, Megan Mullally and Sheryl Lee Ralph as the four life-long friends, and joining them is a star-studded cast list.

1) Susan Sarandon as Lou

The Academy Award-winning actress, who starred alongside Geena Davis in Thelma & Louise, will go into a new best friend adventure as Lou, the cat-lady coming out of her shell, in The Fabulous Four.

Sarandon has been a staple in show business since she starred as Melissa Compton in the 1970 drama thriller Joe. She was a series regular in A World Apart (1970-1971) before making guest appearances in several other TV shows and making movies like Atlantic City (1980), Tempest (1982), Women of Valor (1986), and Little Women (1994).

She has over 160 projects in her filmography, with the most recent ones including Blue Beetle (2023), The Gutter (2024), and the animated film Gracie and Pedro: Pets to the Rescue (2024).

She will also star in the drama history Six Triple Eight about 855 women who joined the war during World War II, coming later in the year.

2) Bette Midler as Marilyn

The multi-hyphenate, who is one of the trio stars of the classic Hocus Pocus, returns to the big screen to play Marilyn. She's remarrying shortly two months after her husband passed away and the reigning TikTok queen in the group who is later dethroned by Lou in The Fabulous Four.

With a career that spans around five decades, it's not shocking to find that Midler has been nominated for an Oscar two times. She has a string of drama and comedic roles in films like The First Wives Club (1996), What Women Want (2000), The Stepford Wives (2004), and The Addams Family (2019).

She reprised her role as Winifred Sanderson in Hocus Pocus 2 (2022) and will be back for the third installment, which is currently in development.

3) Megan Mullally as Alice

The Primetime Emmy-winning actress plays Alice in The Fabulous Four. Mullally has been a familiar face on television and the big screen since her debut acting role in The Children Nobody Wanted (1981).

She starred in the multiple Primetime Emmy-winning romantic comedy series Will & Grace (1998-2020) and Bob's Burgers (2011-2023). She worked in films Date and Switch (2014), Apartment Troubles (2014) and Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015).

She also played Alecto/Ms. Dodds in Percy Jackson and the Olympians (2023-2024) and, more recently, Mrs. Tuntley/Alyspm Lefebvrere in The Great North (2021-2024).

4) Sheryl Lee Ralph as Kitty

The actress and singer joins The Fabulous Four as the grandmother and botanist who grows a lot of weed named Kitty.

Ralph's filmography, which has over 100 titles, ranges from dramas like To Sleep with Anger (1990) and White Man's Burden (1995) to romantic comedies like Christmas at Holly Lodge (2017) and Fashionably Yours (2020).

She was also in several TV shows, both as a regular and guest cast. Her appearances include Moesha (1996-2001), Instant Mom (2013-2015), Ray Donovan (2013-2020), and, more recently, in Abbott Elementary (2021-2024).

5) Sophie von Haselberg as Amanda

The Give Me Pity! actress joins the The Fabulous Four cast list as Amanda. She first came into the acting scene in the 1991 film Frankie and Johnny, but it was only in 2015 onwards that she would regularly be seen on the big screen.

Her filmography includes Equity (2016), American Princess (2019), and Merry Good Enough (2023), and she was also in one episode of American Horror Story (2023).

6) Deja Dee as Dr. Rhonda Brown

The Gotham Nights actress, who has a collection of over 60 projects on television and the big screen, joins The Fabulous Four family as Dr. Rhonda Brown.

Dee first appeared as an unnamed nurse in One Tree Hill (2005) before moving on to more significant roles in Banshee (2013-2015), Star (2016-2018), Queen Sugar (2017-2018), Women of the Movement (2022), and Christmas Party Crashers (2022).

Her latest TV appearance was in Cobra Kai, a martial arts comedy-drama that premiered its sixth season this July, as Dr. Judith.
