The Girl Who Wasn't Dead on Lifetime: Full list of cast

Inspired by true events, Lifetime's The Girl Who Wasn't Dead tells the story of 15-year-old Erica (Emma Tremblay) who had vanished without a trace. While authorities believed that Erica may have been the victim of a local serial killer, her mother, Carrie refused to accept the worst.

In an incredible turn of events, three years later Erica one day emerged from the shadows at her own murder trial. Erica wasn’t abducted but had run away and chosen to live in seclusion with her 21-year-old boyfriend, Andrew (Kyle Clark). They were apparently living less than a mile away from her mother’s house.

The movie premieres as part of Lifetime's Ripped from the Headlines movie slate, which has set six new original films to premiere this fall. The Girl Who Wasn't Dead premieres on October 5, 2024, on Lifetime channel.

1. Lyndsy Fonseca as Carrie

Lyndsy Marie Fonseca is an American actor who began her career by appearing as Colleen Carlton on the CBS daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless, from 2001 and 2005. Following this, she had a series of other recurring roles, as Penny Mosby on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, Donna on HBO's Big Love, and Dylan Mayfair on the ABC television series Desperate Housewives season 4.

Lyndsy Fonseca has also starred as Alex Udinov on The CW's Nikita and played Angie Martinelli on ABC's Agent Carter. Her film credits include her roles as Jenny in Hot Tub Time Machine (2010) and Katie Deauxma in Kick-Ass (2010) and its 2013 sequel. She stars as Carrie, Erica's mother who believed that her daughter was still alive, in Lifetime's The Girl Who Wasn't Dead.

Emma Tremblay is a Canadian actor who is best known for her roles on the television series Supergirl and Wayward Pines, and the films Elysium, The Giver, and The Judge. She stars as Erica, the girl who everyone believed was dead but who was actually living in seclusion with her boyfriend on The Girl Who Wasn't Dead.

3. Logan Pierce as Joey

Logan Pierce is a Canadian actor who was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. He rose to fame at an early age as a highly skilled athlete and musician and landed his first acting role on his second-ever audition for ABC's The Good Doctor in 2019.

Pierce has also appeared in HBO's premiere episode of the global hit series The Last Of Us in January 2023 and on When You're Lost In The Darkness, which received critical acclaim and was watched by 4.7 million viewers on the first day and almost 40 million within two months. Logan was also cast for a big role in the Hallmark TV movie Mystery On Mistletoe Lane. He will appear as Joey in the Lifetime movie.
