Jackman's Instagram post, dated July 3, 2024, features the actor wearing undereye patches. He captioned the picture "This is 55" indicating that he has been taking care of himself even at his age. According to multiple sources, the undereye patches are from the brand Augustinus Bader, comprising ingredients like acetylated hyaluronic acid.

Fans of The Wolverine actor were quick to express their opinion on Jackman's self-care practice involving under-eye patches. One of the fans gave a Wolverine reference on X, indicating that the actor will always be the X-Men character for them:

Hugh Jackman has garnered popularity owing to his role as Wolverine, an X-Men character who is a mutant with adamantium claws. The last Wolverine movie, Logan, released in 2017 and since then fans have been eager to see their favourite X-Men character on screen.

Talking to Vanity Fair on June 24, 2024, in an interview alongside Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy, Hugh Jackman gave an insight into how he was convinced to reprise the character.

Recalling the date to August 15, 2022, Jackman mentioned that he was driving at the start of a vacation from the Broadway show The Music Man.

Hugh Jackman mentioned that he was sitting on a beach without a care in the world and that is when a thought came into his head asking him what he wanted to do. Describing the same, Jackman stated:

"And the first two things had nothing to do with work—then literally, I thought: Deadpool-Wolverine. I want to do that movie. That’s what I want."

The actor also thought that the final Wolverine movie was done with and they "stuck the landing". However, he wanted to play the role in Deadpool's new instalment and kept thinking about talking to Ryan Reynolds on his drive back home.
