On October 30, the American science fiction slasher film, Time Cut, was released on Netflix. The film, which lasted around 92 minutes, featured Madison Bailey in the role of the main protagonist, Lucy Field. Additionally, Antonia Gentry and Griffin Gluck portrayed significant characters in the movie.

Time Cut portrayed an important time shift, roughly twenty years apart, between 2024 and 2003. This shift was illustrated through various elements, such as clothing, technology, and pop culture references found in the music of the respective time periods.

For instance, a transition to the 2003 era was emphasized by the inclusion of songs like What’s Luv? by Fat Joe and Complicated by Avril Lavigne. Besides, there were other tracks that enhanced the film's narrative at various points.
