Jon Bernthal is an American actor who began his acting career in 2002 with an appearance in the television series, Law & Order: Criminal Intent. That same year, he also starred in his debut film titled Mary/Mary. After working for many years doing small roles, Jon got his breakthrough in 2010 as portrayed Shane Walsh in the AMC series, The Walking Dead.

In the 2010s, he also began appearing in small-yet-impressive roles in hit films such as The Wolf of Wall Street, Fury, and The Accountant. Although he never played a leading role in any movie, Jon Bernthal has consistently given memorable performances in some of the biggest hits in recent times.

The narrative revolves around a young man named Zak who has Down syndrome. He runs away from his assisted living facility to train as a pro-wrestler under his hero, Salt Water Redneck. On his way, he meets a wayward fisherman named Tyler, and the two develop a close bond of friendship and brotherhood. They are joined by Zak's caretaker Eleanor (Dakota Johnson) and the trio become a tight unit.

The film features Shia LaBeouf, Zack Gottsagen, Dakota Johnson, and John Hawkes in leading roles. Jon Bernthal appears briefly as Mark, who is Tyler's deceased older brother in the movie.

Helmed by James Mangold, Ford v Ferrari is set in the backdrop of 1966. It tells the true story of how the automotive engineer Carol Shelby (Matt Damon) and race driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) helped Ford defeat the Italian racing team, Scuderia Ferrari, at the Le Mans motor race.

Jon Bernthal plays Ford Motor Company's Vice President, Lee Iacocca, who hires Shelby to create a winning racing car for his company. Furthermore, he supports Miles when Ford's management turns against him due to his rash behavior.

Director Edgar Wright's 2017 film centers around the story of Baby (Ansel Elgort), a getaway driver who suffers from tinnitus. He works for the crime syndicate run by Doc (Kevin Spacey) and drives his gang members to safety following a heist. After falling in love with Debora (Lily James), Baby decides to leave his life of crime behind, much to Doc's chagrin.

Jon Bernthal appears as Griffin 'Griff' in the first act of Baby Driver. He is a member of Doc's criminal gang and gives Baby a hard time for his hearing issues.

Denis Villeneuve's Sicario takes an intriguing look into the world of Mexican drug cartels. In the film, FBI agent Kate Macer (Emily Blunt) is recruited to a joint task force alongside government official Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) and the CIA-trained assassin Alejandro Gillick (Benicio del Toro). Their mission is to combat the escalating war on drugs along the US-Mexico border.

Jon Bernthal essays the role of a corrupt Arizona cop, Ted, who is involved with the cartels. He has a brief dalliance with Kate before she finds out his true identity.

The heist thriller Widows is based on the eponymous British series from 1983. Steve McQueen directed the movie and co-wrote it along with Gillian Flynn.

The movie is focused on Four Chicago women named Veronica, Linda, Alice, and Belle. They plan to steal $5 million from the local politician Jack Mulligan's house. This money is owed to the crime boss Jamal Manning, from whom these womens' husbands had stolen the money before falling to their deaths.

The film stars an of Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez, Cynthia Erivo, Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall, and Daniel Kaluuya, among others. Jon Bernthal stars as Florek, Alice's husband and one of the members of Harry's gang who dies at the beginning of the film.
