How does Conny get arrested in the first place in Trouble 2024?
In Trouble, Conny is a divorced wannabe pilot who works at an electronics store and has a little daughter named Julia. Conny wants to do more for his daughter and even buy her a horse for her birthday, for which he decides to do extra work at the store and earn more money. One night, before leaving the store, his boss approaches him and tells him that he has to install a TV at a customer’s home.
Right before Connie could go to install the TV, he meets Diana, a detective, who had come there to get new headphones. After a short talk with Diana, Conny goes to the customer’s home to install the TV. After installing the TV, being a gadget freak himself, Conny decides to try the new features of the TV. Meanwhile, the customer, who is a lady, goes out of the house for a short while.
As Conny prepares to depart, he notices a man who is searching for his cell phone while semi-conscious on the house's floor. Conny gets closer to him and takes up the screwdriver next to the man to protect himself from anyone who could be in the house, fearing if somebody assaulted the man, he could attack Conny next.
In the next few seconds of the film Trouble, Conny gets knocked out from the back. When he wakes up, the homeowner returns and finds Conny with a bloodied screwdriver, after which she thinks that he killed her husband. She calls the cops on him and gets him arrested.
Conny meets Diana once more
Conny meets Diana again, but in the interrogation room, and finds out that she is a detective. Conny next meets Detective Helena Malm and Jorma Heikkonen in the interrogation room. Next up, Conny meets his assigned lawyer, Hasse, who comes and stops the interrogation midway. A few weeks after his arrest, the trial takes place, and Conny is sentenced to prison for murder.
He does not plead guilty and files a re-appeal, which his lawyer says is denied. Hence, Conny takes matters into his own hands and plans on finding the phone that the victim had talked about.
The cell phone is found
Conny sneaks out of prison for some time and goes to the victim's home to talk to his wife. He tells her to find the phone, after which he again returns to prison. The victim’s wife finally finds the phone hidden behind a light on the ceiling. She finds it out of charge.
After she charges it, she sees the footage in it and understands that her husband was aware of a major drug deal. One of the dealers (a lady) was captured in the video, and she saw her husband recording her, after which he was probably chased and killed.
At the same time, Detective Helena Malm comes to the victim's home and questions the wife about the missing phone.
Detective Helena Malm sits in the house facing the TV backward, which is playing the same footage from the phone. The victim’s wife realizes that and starts shaking in front of the detective, understanding that it was the detective who killed her husband and not Conny. However, the detective did not find the video or see it because her back was facing the TV.
When Conny gets to know about the video, which could prove his innocence, he goes to retrieve the phone. However, after chaos at the airport, Conny gets shot and arrested and is sent to the hospital. Malm takes the phone secretly and disposes of it.
Diana comes to Conny's aid
At the hospital, Helena Malm tries to poison Conny, however, Diana comes to save the day, as she had assumed his innocence. Helena shoots herself with Diana’s gun and tries to frame her for the attack. However, Diana uses her brain and escapes the scene with Conny.
After their escape, Conny and Diana try to find a way to prove to everyone that the actual killer is Helena. They go to the victim’s house and find the same video that could prove Helena Malm guilty on the TV's hard drive. However, they do not find a way to capture it or transfer it. Therefore, they take the TV along and go to Conny’s lawyer, Hasse, thinking he could help them.
However, they find Hasse with Helena Malm, who is going on a drug deal. Conny now understands that his lawyer is working with the killer.
The end for Helena in Trouble (2024)
Conny and Diana follow Hasse and Helena to a hotel at the final moments of Trouble. They carry the TV along with them. When Conny sees Helena and his lawyer dealing cocaine to lawyers, he calls the cops on himself, thinking the cops will come to arrest him, and in that way, Helena will also get busted. However, Helena learns about this plan and tries to disrupt it so that her drug deal does not go wrong.
The cops come and arrest Diana after a brief shootout, and the TV, which contains the video is also shot. Conny, however, does not give up. He takes the broken TV to the control room of the hotel, connects the TV circuit to the intercom video system of the hotel, and plays the footage that shows Helena guilty.
As Helena is going down the lift, the other cops see the video on the small screen on the lift, shortly after which everyone understands that Helena is the killer, and so far Diana and Conny had been right. Conny.
Helena gets arrested and Diana and Conny are freed of all charges. At the end of the film, Conny gets his daughter the horse he had promised, after which he sits with Diana, and as they are about to kiss, a couple of annoying neighbors come and interrupt them.
