My Spy: The Eternal City - Plot overview
The sequel takes place five years from the plot of the original film. Sophie is now a 14-year-old and facing the challenges that come with the teenage phase. The film explores the relationship between Sophie and her foster father, J.J. For the unversed, J.J. became romantically involved with Sophie's mother, Kate, in the concluding events of the previous installment.
The plot of the 2024 film centers around Sophie traveling to Rome, Italy as part of her school's choir team. However, her plans go awry when J.J. joins the trip to keep an eye out for her. Sophie is an independent teenager and dislikes the fact that J.J. has tagged along on the trip.
The father-daughter duo eventually reunite in action when they discover a devious terrorist plot. While navigating a perilous journey into espionage, they make their way through Rome and prevent a nuclear catastrophe.
