In 2024, Doug Liman directed Road House, an American action film featuring Conor McGregor, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Williams, and Post Malone, among others. This movie is a remake of the 1998 film of the same name, originally directed by Rowdy Herrington.

After fulfilling his media obligations for Road House, Conor started training for his next fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. 'The Double Champ' is going to return to the octagon on June 29, 2024. Conor will fight Michael Chandler in the main event of UFC 303 in the welterweight division.

During a fight with UFC star Dustin Poirier in 2021 (UFC 264), Conor suffered a leg injury, fracturing his left tibia and fibula. Despite breaking his leg, Conor in an interview with The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani said:

"I'm never stopping this. I'm continuing. I'll wheel out into the Octagon and scoot out into open guard [on my back] if I couldn't brace on the leg. That was in my thoughts. I'm able to kick with it. I'm kicking hard, I'm kicking fast. And you best believe I'm looking to take this guy out with the steel bar in my leg, for sure."

Ever since that fight, 'Mystic Mac' was out of action, trying to make a full recovery.

He was seen coaching against Michael Chandler in The Ultimate Fighter series in 2023. During The Ultimate Fighter, there were speculations about Conor fighting Chandler in his comeback fight. After UFC 300, UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that Mystic Mac will be returning to fight Chandler in the UFC 303 this year.

The Notorious, who is an asset to the UFC and the face of MMA, has already started breaking records before his comeback fight, as confirmed by Dana White. According to Forbes, UFC 303 has already crossed the $20 million gate, making it the highest gate in the history of the game.
