Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow stars House of the Dragon actor Milly Alcock as our titular hero, who is also known as Kara Zor-El. Jason Momoa is confirmed to have been cast as Lobo in Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow

One of the biggest names in the DC Universe, Jason Momoa, has jumped ship from the old DC Extended Universe into the new era which has been created by James Gunn and Peter Safran. He will be taking on the iconic role of Lobo for the upcoming movie and Momoa has confirmed this news in an Instagram post he shared.

The post he has shared is a snippet from a 2023 interview with Fandango. The actor had expressed his interest in playing the character back then and now finally he has confirmed that he received a call from the creators of the show to play the character.

DC villain Lobo is one of the darkest and most dangerous supervillains in the DC Universe. He has an enigmatic and confident personality and also a brutal fighting style. Not to mention, Lobo is famous for his dark humor and it makes sense why Momoa has been eyeing this role for a while now.

Lobo's home planet is the planet Czarnia, which is a utopian world known for its peaceful and harmonious people. Here, Lobo is a sociopathic anomaly who has exterminated his entire species just for fun. This made him the last Czarnian. Lobo's larger-than-life persona is what makes him so famous among fans and it will indeed be exciting to see how Jason Momoa plays this role.

Lobo is Jason Momoa's second role in the DC universe

American actor Jason Momoa made his acting debut as Jason Ioane on Baywatch: Hawaii (1999–2001). After Baywatch, Momoa was cast as Ronon Dex on the Sci-fi series Stargate Atlantis (2005–2009), and then as the infamous Khal Drogo in the HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones (2011–2012). He appeared only for two seasons in the latter series. Momoa has also played lead roles in the Discovery Channel historical drama series Frontier (2016–2018) and the Apple TV Plus' See (2019–2022).

Jason Momoa is best known for portraying Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), especially in Justice League (2017), Aquaman (2018), and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023). Recently, Momoa also starred as Duncan Idaho in the science fiction film Dune (2021), and 2023's action film Fast X.
