A24 Productions recently released the first trailer for We Live in Time, an upcoming romance drama that stars Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh. The movie, directed by John Crowley, is set to be released in limited theaters on October 11 later this year and will initially premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2024.
Apart from big stars, We Live in Time has a diverse and exciting list of creators as well. Nick Payne, who previously worked on projects such as The Sense of an Ending and The Last Letter, is the screenwriter, while Benedict Cumberbatch is set to act as an executive producer.

What is the plot of We Live in Time?
The trailer itself gave quite a few details about the movie. It stars Florence Pugh as Almut and Andrew Garfield as Tobias. We Live in Time will see the two stars engage in a hilarious meet-cute after Almut ends up hitting Tobias with her car.
However, the two then fall in love, move in together, and even have a daughter together. Almut, however, ends up being diagnosed with cancer, and the trailer itself shows her cutting off her blonde hair with Garfield’s character on her side.
In an emotional, poignant tale, Almut tells her love that she does not want a treatment that wastes their time together, as the movie promises an exploration into love and loss.
The trailer itself does not reveal how the journey will end, as it concludes with a hilarious scene in which Tobias tries to get out of a parking spot.

The movie, which features two major English stars as its leads, has been primarily shot in England. The city of London features alongside a range of picturesque locations in the trailer itself, as Pugh and Garfield’s characters are seen exploring a range of markets and parks.
