The latest in the Terrifier series, Terrifier 3, is a Christmas-themed Slasher horror directed by Damien Leone. Starring David Howard Thornton, Lauren LaVera, Elliott Fullam, and Samantha Scaffidi, the movie premiered at the Fantastic Fest on September 19, 2024, and is set to be released theatrically on October 11, 2024.

Early reviews of Terrifier 3 claim that the movie is one of the scariest horror films produced in recent times despite its simple premise. Terrifier 3 has the following official synopsis, according to IMDb:

“Art the Clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.”

Terrifier 3 is said to boast a shocking level of gore and violence. It will take place five years after the events of the second movie and once again focus on Art the Clown, portrayed expertly by David Howard Thornton.

Everything we know about Terrifier 3

Despite some time away from the theatrical release, Terrifier 3 has already generated comprehensive buzz. The movie premiered at the Fantastic Fest, where it was met with a standing ovation. Art the Clown will be seen taking over the house of a suburban family on Christmas Eve.

According to Lad Bible, his first scene in the movie has already been said to be the scariest introduction scene ever produced. Further, its screening at the fest had a total of nine walkouts. Director Damien Leone claimed the following about his work:

“I got to meet with studios, like legit Hollywood studios, who wanted to make Terrifier 3. But before I even had a script, just having meetings and getting the feel that I was going to have eyes over my shoulders, and they were concerned about the levels of gore and this and that. I knew they weren't going to let me make this movie based on the first five pages. Like, that's how insane Terrifier 3 is."

Reports have also claimed that one viewer vomited during the movie's first five minutes. While the first scene was initially rejected, Leone could only get the film approved by Cineverse after presenting the entire script.
