On February 2, 2024, Somewhere Quiet, a psychological thriller film starring Jennifer Kim, Kentucker Audley, Marin Ireland, and Micheál Neeson was released in theatres across the United States. Before its release in the US, the film premiered at the Tribeca Festival on June 8, 2023, where it garnered considerable praise.

Somewhere Quiet chronicles the life of Meg Rhoads, who is a former victim of kidnapping. After going through the psychological tribulations of the same, Meg finds it difficult to return to normalcy. Her husband attempts to facilitate the process but things only get worse as Meg starts experiencing further psychological distress exacerbated by her surroundings and the people in them.

Barnstable County, Massachusetts was the primary filming location for Somewhere Quiet. Cape Cod, situated in the County, served as the source of most of the picturesque shots from the film. The peninsula, which extends into the Atlantic Ocean from the southeastern corner of Massachusetts, with its beaches and dreamy shoreline, served as the perfect setting for the film.

The majority of the movie was also filmed in Contuit, a village in Barnstable. Known for its dense forests, Contuit, served as the perfect location for filming tension-building scenes. The scenes, with the backdrop of the haunting forests of Contuit, wonderfully brought to life the horror aspect of the psychological thriller.

Wellfleet in Barnstable was also used as one of the locations for filming the movie. Like the locations mentioned before, Wellfleet too gives off an eerie charm, something that works wonders for the movie.

The empty roads of Wellfleet at night as depicted in the movie are enough to scare anyone. The location, coupled with the occasional noise of leaves falling and distant unidentified noises coming, makes for the perfect recipe for a psychological thriller.

The place with several locations of historical significance still intact, served as the right mix of eerie and inquisitive requirements for the film.
