Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark in HBO's Game of Thrones, has moved back to the UK from the US following her divorce from ex-husband, Joe Jonas.

Turner has now returned to her homeland and is currently living in West London, England, as she told Harper's Bazaar in her recent feature interview, adding:

"I’m so happy to be back. It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England."

Turner and Jonas's divorce was finalized in September 2024, roughly a year after she filed for it in Miami. The couple started dating in 2016, got engaged in October 2017, and tied the knot in May 2019 in Las Vegas.

They share two daughters, Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2, who will now split their time between the UK and the US.

Sophie Turner confessed to being homesick in the US

Sophie Turner opened up about her experience of living in the US for years before she recently returned to the UK in her Harper's Bazaar interview, saying:

"I just never really feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family. I was away for so long – six years – and it was when my friends were getting engaged, and when I got pregnant."

Turner also expressed regret at missing out on important moments in the lives of her friends and family while being overseas, elaborating with an example:

"I went for dinner with someone the other day, and she said, I never got to touch your belly. We didn’t have those key experiences with each other."

As Sophie moved in with her husband, Joe Jonas, the couple first lived in LA, and eventually moved to Miami where they bought a property together.

Diving deeper into the homesickness she suffered from at the time, the 28-year-old mentioned how she'd stock up on British soap and chocolate everywhere she went.

However, according to Turner, in the end, the country's politics were the hardest to cope with. She continued:

"The gun violence, Roe v Wade being overturned... Everything just kind of piled on. After the Uvalde [school] shooting, I knew it was time to get the f*** out of there."

Sophie Turner recently went Instagram official with Peregrine Pearson

Elsewhere in the Harper's Bazaar interview, Sophie Turner talked about her new relationship with Peregrine Pearson. Turner revealed that she had been dating the 5th Viscount of Cowdray since the end of 2023, adding that they were "very happy."

When asked about what Pearson was like, the actress responded with:

"He’s lovely. He’s funny, and he brings out the cheeky side of me, the fun side. He lights me back up."

The 28-year-old also talked about how motherhood had changed her "so much in every way," adding how she was depressed and anxious before becoming a mother and tended to isolate herself often.

However, after Turner welcomed her daughters into the world, she started living her life for them. She revealed she wanted them to see her having a social life, enjoying work, and having a thriving career and relationships.

Portraying herself as a hard-working single mother, Sophie wanted to tell her daughters when she returned home:

"This is why Mummy was away – it’s because she’s doing this for you, so Father Christmas can come with a big bundle of presents."

On Tuesday, October 29, Sophie Turner was featured in Heat Magazine's 30-under-30 list for being the richest UK celebrity under 30. With her net worth estimated to be £18.5 million, Turner was placed sixth on the list. The magazine also reported the fortune of her current boyfriend, Peregrine Pearson's family to be around £270 million.
