It Ends With Us, the movie adaptation of Collen Hoover's 2016 bestselling novel of the same name, came out on August 9, 2024, and has grossed $93.4 million until now. Justin Baldoni, the director and protagonist of the movie, bought the rights to the novel back in July 2019.
Produced by Justin Baldoni's company Wayfaere Studios, the story of It Ends With Us, revolves around Lily Bloom, a young woman with a traumatic childhood who seems to change when she meets a charming neurosurgeon, Ryle Kincaid. But as time passes, Lily discovers a completely different side of Ryle that partly resembles her violent father.
She also befriends Ryle's sister Allysa in that process and realizes that he is haunted by his past demons. Soon an unexpected turn arrives, when Lily's childhood sweetheart Atlas, comes into her life, and she is split between her past and present.

Though the book It Ends With Us takes place in Boston, most of the film was shot in parts of New Jersey. Official filming began in Hoboken, New Jersey on May 5, 2023. 1) Newark Avenue, New Jersey
The very first on this list, Newark Avenue, shares a very special place in It Ends With Us because it serves as the location where Lily and Ryle kissed for the very first time. Newark Avenue is the venue where Atlas' Root restaurant is located, where Ryle and Lily's family members meet each other, and the climactic fight between Atlas and Ryle takes place. Root Restaurant in real was shot inside a cuisine restaurant called South House.
Newark Avenue is known for its retro city vibes filled with museums, restaurants, antique shops, and historical buildings, including Churches and Cathedrals. The Newark Museum of Art, Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, and New Jersey Performing Arts Center are a must-visit.
2) Hoboken, New Jersey
Lily's dream of doing something purely for herself comes true when she opens a flower shop and befriends Ryle's sister Allysa. The shop is located on Bloomfield Street, which is a very popular location in Hoboken, New Jersey. Hoboken is a haven for street photographers and art enthusiasts, with the Barsky Gallery and Hoboken Historical Museum.
3) Van Vorst Park, Jersey City
In the ending scene of It Ends With Us, Lily divorces Ryle and finally reconnects with Atlas in the farmer's market, which leaves the audience pondering many possibilities. This beautiful scene in the farmer's market is shot in Van Vorst Park in Jersey City.
The park is a historical neighborhood that was established in 1835 by the Van Vorst family. The surrounding is known for its green ambiance, intricate architecture, and lines of shops and cafes.
4) Boston, Massachusetts
The Longfellow Bridge and Leonard P. Zakin Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge, are iconic locations, known for their breathtaking views. The Longfellow Bridge is a historical marvel that was opened back in 1907. It was named after the 19th century American poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
The Leonard P. Zakin Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge is cable-connected and spans across the Charles River in Boston, Massachusetts. It replaced the Charlestown High Bridge and was finally completed in 2003. The renowned Swiss civil engineer Christian Menn designed it, in honour of the Boston civil rights activist Leonard P. Zakin.

5) Plainfield and Weehawken, New Jersey
Going back to Lily's memories, she finds herself spending her teenage days in their childhood home in Maine. This is the place where Lily first begins to fall in love with Atlas. The setup for this childhood home was shot in a hundred-year-old house in Plainfield, New Jersey.
The location that serves as Ryle's home was set up in a building owned by Veris Residential in Weehawken, New Jersey. The big loft with high ceilings was the common meeting space for the building, and the team added extra furniture to turn it into a homely space.
6) Los Angeles, California
In It Ends With Us, at the very beginning of the night, on the rooftop of a crowded city, where Lily and Ryle meet by coincidence for the very first time, are shot in Los Angeles, California. Originally, the shot was also planned to be shot in New Jersey, but since the place was freezing in January, the team eventually decided to have this scene in Los Angeles,
