It Ends With Us is an American romantic drama film, based on Colleen Hoover's 2016 bestselling novel of the same name. What is the plot of It Ends With Us?

The movie begins with the character of Lily Bloom, a small-town girl from Maine who moves to Boston, dreaming of becoming financially stable enough to make a living and support her mother. Lily had been through a traumatic childhood, where she grew up seeing her mother getting beaten by her abusive father.

The film opens with the death of Lily's father, as she finds it difficult to say even five things that she likes about him. The story then shifts to a terrace in the chaotic Boston city one evening, where Lily meets a mysterious stranger. He introduces himself as a neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, but their conversation meets an abrupt end when he is called for an emergency.

Eventually, Lily realizes that Kyle is a gifted neurosurgeon, and she even coincidentally befriends his sister Allysa. The two then begin to grow feelings for each other, however, tensions arise when Lily discovers her estranged first love, Atlas Corrigan. Despite his impoverished background, Atlas managed to become wealthy, and Lily played a big part in it.

She soon finds herself stuck in the dilemma of her feelings for the two, Ryle and Atlas, unable to decide which road to take. It Ends With Us deals with the themes of love, grief, and longing, shifting between the past and present. The story is deeply woven with the lives of these three characters, reflecting on their history and inner demons, which manifest themselves in the present.
