Plot summary
In The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, the Herdman kids are seen as a menace by the town's locals. Led by the oldest sister Imogene Herdman, the six children bully, lie, steal, and cause a disruption wherever they go. When they show up to church on a random Sunday looking for free snacks, they inadvertently find themselves participating in the community's annual Christmas pageant, to the surprise of many.
On the other hand, Grace Bradley, her husband Bob, and their daughter Beth are respected members of the small community. When Grace volunteers to direct the annual Christmas pageant for the first time, she is faced with the challenge of working with these unruly kids and stopping them from ruining the performance. She also faces opposition from the townspeople, who want the Herdmans out of the Christmas pageant.
As the Bradleys and locals come to terms with the Herdmans, they are once again reminded of the true spirit of Christmas.
