What is the plot of United 93?
On September 11, 2001, United Airlines Flight 93 was hijacked by four al-Qaeda terrorists, which led to its crash in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, killing everyone on board. The movie narrates the events that led to one of the most tragic incidents in America's history.
The flight was scheduled from Newark to San Fransisco, and four hijackers, Ziad Jarrah, Saeed al-Ghamdi, Ahmed al-Haznawi, and Ahmed al-Nami, entered the flight as disguised as civilians. Around the same time, American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center's North Tower.
Following this, United 175 hits the South Tower, and the Air traffic controllers get to know that United 77 has also been hijacked for similar purposes. The people on board United 93 soon realize that something is wrong when four people rise and start to threaten the passengers.
The pilot and co-pilot are killed, and the people inside realize they must do everything to stop the terrorists from completing their mission. United 93 stands as a tribute in the memory of some very brave people who fought selflessly with the terrorists till their last breath.
