In 2008, Amy Adams told Vanity Fair that she first met Darren Le Gallo in an acting class in 2001. The two began dating sometime later and also starred together in the short film Pennies, released in 2006. The couple was engaged for eight years before tying the knot on May 2, 2015, in an intimate wedding ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.

Darren Le Gallo was born in Landstuhl, Germany. He earned his bachelor's degree in painting from the Abilene Christian University in Texas in 2006. He works as a full-time artist, with his artworks being showcased at galleries located in Seattle, New York, and Los Angeles.
