Who is Connor Cruise? Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s son spotted in rare outing with his father after the actor missed daughter Suri’s graduation

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's son Connor Cruise was spotted alongside his father in a rare public appearance. On Friday, June 28, the actor and his son were seen departing a helicopter at a heliport in London.

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise was notably absent from his and ex-wife Katie Holmes' daughter Suri's graduation last week on Friday, June 22. The 18-year-old graduated high school from New York City's LaGuardia High School. Her mother Katie Holmes was present.

Connor Cruise gets off a helicopter with Tom Cruise

Connor Cruise made a rare public sighting on Friday when he departed a helicopter in London alongside his father, Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise was smiling ear-to-ear while sporting Aviator sunglasses, blue jeans, and a short-sleeved gray T-shirt. Connor, meanwhile, remained muted in a black hoodie, gray pants, and a matching hat.

Cruise tied the knot with Kidman in 1990 after meeting her on the set of Days of Thunder. The couple later announced their divorce in February 2001. The duo share two adopted children, Isabella and Connor.

The couple adopted Connor on January 17, 1995. The 29-year-old Miami resident and his sister are both practicing Scientologists like their father. However, unlike his father, Connor maintains a rather low profile. Connor has tried his hand in the entertainment industry, being a DJ playing gigs across the world.

He also tried his hand at acting, appearing in two movies, 2008's Seven Pounds starring Will Smith, and 2012's Red Dawn starring Chris Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. However, the star is now a food influencer, running an Instagram account dedicated to barbecuing named "Connor's Meatshack" alongside his real estate friend Kim Joyce.

Connor has previously appeared alongside Tom Cruise on a few other rare occasions, including in July of last year, at a Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning promotional event in New York City. Cruise's sister Lee Mapother was also present.

Both Connor and his sister Isabella live in Los Angeles with their father after his divorce from Nicole Kidman. In a 2014 interview with Now To Love, the actress called both her children "generous, kind and hardworking." Regarding both her kids' choices to follow Scientology, Kidman told Who in 2018:

"They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them."

While in Australia for a DJ gig, Connor Cruise told Woman's Day that he loved his mum, dispelling all rumors that there was a rift between the kids and Kidman because of the brother-sister duo deciding to follow Scientology.

"I don't care what people say, I know that me and mum are solid. I love her a lot. My family means everything,"

Suri Cruise graduated from high school

Tom Cruise married Katie Holmes in 2006 and divorced in 2012. Holmes gave birth to the couple's only child together, Suri in 2006.

Last week on June 22, the 18-year-old celebrated graduating from LaGuardia High School. Pictures received by Page Six showed the teenager in all smiles as she captured pictures, along with her mother, Katie Holmes, and her friends. One photograph showed the youngster posing with another graduate.

Suri sported her red graduation robe over a white midi sundress paired with some white sandals. Holmes sported light yellow pants and a full-sleeved shirt.

Tom Cruise was absent from the event. The pamphlet for Suri's graduation ceremony addressed the 18-year-old as Suri Noelle and not Suri Cruise. The day after Suri's graduation, Cruise attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in London.
