He has also spoken about the strength and bravery that his younger sister, Deidra Dixon, showed at that time and expressed his gratitude towards her.
Foxx claims that it was his sister Deidra Dixon who saved his life after he experienced a medical emergency in April 2023 that caused him to suffer a brain bleed which led to a stroke and affected his memory. He said that Deidra took him to the right doctors and drove around the city for hours to ensure that he found the right treatment.
Jamie Foxx's sister Deidra Dixon is a makeup artist and hair stylist. She has worked with Foxx a number of times and is credited with being his hairstylist for projects like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Django Unchained, and Baby Driver.

In the Netflix special, he opened up about how his sister saved him, saying:
"They say she drove around Atlanta sort of aimlessly. She didn't really know where the hospitals was, but as she was driving around, she came up on Piedmont hospital. Give it up for Pied...What's interesting about it is that as she drove around, she didn't know anything about Piedmont hospital, but she had a hunch that some angels is in there."
He continued:
"Here's the thing: When you dream about what you want to be in life, you don't dream tragedy. You dream everything is good. I got the life. I got the cars. I got all that. You don't dream that something must go wrong, but when something does go wrong, you need a sister, 4-foot-11, full of nothing but love...I'm going to tell you something about my sister Deidra Dixon and my daughter Corinne Marie Foxx. They held me the f--- down."
Foxx also has another sister, DeOndra Dixon, who died aged 36 in 2020. DeOndra suffered from Down syndrome but that did not stop her from achieving numerous milestones during her life. She was a longtime participant in the Special Olympics and also served as an ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.
Foxx shared a deep bond with both his sisters. The three siblings were raised by their mother, Louise Annette Dixon, and Foxx's stepfather, George Dixon, in Terrell, Texas. Deidra and DeOndra are Foxx's step sisters.
