Academy Award winner Halle Berry recently opened up about her experience filming the 1994 cult classic film The Flintstones. In a video posted on social media on Sunday, May 26, during the movie's 30th anniversary, the actress reacted to a few scenes from the movie. She recalled how important her "little part" in this "big movie" was.

Halle Berry played Sharon Stone in the movie. Stone was the secondary antagonist, the former girlfriend of Cliff Vandercave, and the former love interest of protagonist Fred Flintstone. Berry also mentioned how important her role as Sharon Stone was for the black community at the time, with The Flintstones being engraved in pop culture.

The 1994 Brian Levant film The Flintstones, based on the iconic '60s sitcom of the same name, starred Primetime Emmy Award-winning actor John Goodman as Fred Flintstone and Weeds star Elizabeth Perkins as Fred's wife Wilma Flintstone. Golden Globe-winning actor Kyle MacLachlan played antagonist Cliff Vandercave, while Oscar-winner Halle Berry portrayed the secondary antagonist Sharon Stone.

Sharon Stone is the seductive henchwoman and girlfriend of the corrupt Slate & Co. executive vice president Cliff Vandercave. Throughout the movie, Stone, who is initially just as evil and corrupt as Cliff, keeps seducing a helpless Fred Flintstone, who nearly falls for her. Cliff even assigns her as a secretary to an awestruck Fred to get him to do her bidding.

However, toward the movie's end, Sharon Stone turns a new page and apologizes to Fred for almost ruining his marriage. She even sympathizes with him and requests Cliff call off his evil plan to get Fred incriminated. After Cliff betrays her, she even assists Fred in capturing Cliff Vandercave and handing him over to the cops before getting arrested herself after making peace with Fred.

"I knew then how important this little part in this big movie actually would be"— Halle Berry on playing Sharon Stone

On the 30th anniversary of the cult classic film, Halle Berry took to social media to reminisce about her time working on the movie. The actress thought it would be "cool" to react to some of her scenes in the film as she revealed that she hadn't seen The Flintstones in around 20 years.

Berry reacted to the scene where her character, Sharon Stone, is introduced to Fred Flintstone. In the scene, Stone promptly seduces an aroused Fred Flintstone. Berry immediately noted the "swanky, oh s*xy girl's coming in" background score of the scene. She also notices her voice in the film, which she describes as "so young me" and her "iconic" hairdo.

Berry, who laughed when Stone seductively asked Fred to use her whichever way he pleases, further talked about how important her role as Sharon Stone was.

"Being a Black woman in Bedrock seemed like a little thing but you know, The Flintstones was the fabric of our culture. I knew that this was a big step forward for Black people, Black women, especially," she said, adding, "While it was silly, and it was over the top and campy, I knew then how important this little part in this big movie actually would be."

According to IMDb, The Flintstones, which was released domestically on May 27, 1994, was a commercial success. Against an estimated budget of $46,000,000, the movie grossed $130,531,208 domestically and $341,631,208 worldwide. Despite the money it brought in, the film wasn't much of a critical hit as it stands at a Rotten Tomatoes score of 23% and an IMDb rating of 5 out of 10.
