When Lily’s first love, Atlas Corrigan, suddenly reenters her life, her relationship with Ryle is upended, and Lily realizes she must learn to rely on her own strength to make an impossible choice for her future."

What is the story of Ryle Kincaid in It Ends With Us?
Ryle is one of the most popular characters in Hoover's book It Ends With Us. When Lily first stumbles upon Ryle, he appears to be a dark, mysterious guy, with a slight ruggedness in his nature. Ryle is a gifted neurosurgeon, who is at the peak of his career. In the beginning, he is portrayed as someone very popular among ladies but doesn't prefer any long-term commitments.
When Lily and Ryle hang out initially, viewers realize that he doesn't share any emotional attachment, but rather just wants to sleep with her. Ryle always had clarity in his actions, which drew Lily closer to him.
As the story unfolds, Lily realizes that Ryle is fighting his demons collected in traumas from his past. She starts understanding the reason behind his stern attitude and tries to fill in the gaps. Soon, they fall in love, and Lily makes him realize that their love doesn't work as an obstacle in his career but rather nurtures it.
A big crack in their relationship occurs when Lily's first love, Atlas, comes into the scenario. This tests Ryle's love for Lily and how far he can go for his love. The end comes with a twist that leaves the audience with a completely different perspective on the story.
Ryle has a dark void that roots back to a gruesome incident in the past, which the viewers only get to see in the movie. It Ends With Us "ends" with love, heartbreaks, fist fights, and scenes shuffling from past to present, and the character of Ryle Kincaid plays a very crucial role in it.
Along with Justin Baldoni, the movie has chosen an array of talented actors as its cast, including Blake Lively playing Lily Bloom, Brandon Sklenar as Atlas Corrigan, Jenny Slate as Allysa, Isabela Ferrer as young Lly, Alexa Neustaedtar playing young Atlas, Amy Morton as Jenny Bloom, Kevin McKidd playing Andrew Bloom, and Hasan Minhaj in the role of Marshall.
