Actor Steve Guttenberg, who has appeared in films such as Police Academy and High Spirits, is trending in the headlines after he offered help during the Pacific Palisades fire while maintaining a low profile. The incident happened on January 7, 2024, and spread to around 1,200 acres of land, where hundreds of firefighters worked to douse the flames, as per People magazine.

The outlet also stated that almost 30,000 residents were evacuated to nearby places and the families of celebrities such as JJ Reddick and Travis Barker were also rescued.

Meanwhile, Steve Guttenberg stepped in to save the victims and he was spotted in a light blue baseball cap and covered his face with a mask. The actor requested everyone to leave their car keys along with the vehicles so that they could be easily moved and the fire trucks could get to the areas affected by the fire.

In an interview with KTLA, Steve said that people were taking away the keys as if they were in a parking lot and explained the current situation, saying:

"There are people stuck up there. So we're trying to clear Palisades Drive and I'm walking up there as far as I can moving cars."

Steve Guttenberg advised people to not worry about their personal property and "get your loved ones and get out." Towards the end of the conversation, the reporter asked Guttenberg if he lived near the area, to which he replied that he lived "right up the hill."
