Steve Harvey has become the latest victim of a death hoax, a phenomenon that has become increasingly common on social media platforms over the years. Throughout the day, news about the veteran comedian's death spread like wildfire and many fans claimed to have received a notification that said Harvey passed away. However, this is absolutely false as he was seen posting photos with his family and there is no legitimacy to this claim.

This death hoax featuring Harvey allegedly stems from an AI-generated article published on Trend Cast News. The article was titled Steve Harvey Passed Away Today: Remembering The Legacy Of A Comedy Legend. This piece was picked up by Newsbreak, a popular media site that has been picking up AI articles. The date of publication was set as December 19, 2024, a future date when the article was published.

This led to immense confusion, and fans already started paying tribute to the legendary comedian. However, many ascertained quickly that the death hoax was completely false and that Steve Harvey was alive and well.

Soon after fans realized the baselessness of the news, there were multiple aggressive reactions on social media platforms, with some fans even prompting Harvey to sue the news company that spread this fake news.

"There was another hoax about Steve Harvey's Death?"- Fans react as veteran comedian becomes the subject of another death hoax

Interestingly enough, this is not the first time Harvey has passed away for netizens. In October, fake news of the comedian dying from a car crash emerged. He has also been the subject of such fake news before this, and he even humorously posted a photo of him apparently scrolling through "RIP Steve Harvey" posts.

Fans from all around the world reacted to the death news earlier today, with many claiming that the link that was sent to users about Harvey's death was actually a virus that could leak data.

One fan summed it up on social media platform X, saying:

"THERE WAS ANOTHER HOAX ABOUT STEVE HARVEY'S DEATH??"

Other fans followed it up with similar reactions.

"The internet really need to stop playing with people’s lives. That false ass news about Steve Harvey being dead wrong asf. Smh 😒"- another fan said.
"If you Received news that Steue Harvey Died on your phone, DO NOT CLICK ON THAT LINK IT'S A DEATH HOAX. it going to lead you to a virus attack On Your phone. Harvey is alive and well"- another user commented, highlighting the potential virus from the hoax link.
"Got a notification on my phone that Steue Harvey passed away... then some virus shit popped up and started scanning. Wtf is going on?"- another user said, reporting the same virus link.

It seems like this death hoax is an elaborate scam that is using this sensational fake news to grab the attention of users and then opening a link containing a virus that is potentially dangerous.

All in all, the hoax has now died down and fans can rest assured that the 56-year-old comedian is alive and well.
