Curtis James Jackson III, aka 50 Cent, is a household name in the rap industry and has several hits under his belt. His authoritative tone and lyrical abilities made him one of the most popular rappers of his time.
Apart from the 21 Questions rapper's impressive discography, he stands out for his public remarks and condemnation of Sean Combs, aka P. Diddy, on several occasions.
Following Diddy’s arrest in September 2024, fans and media have begun to look into 50 Cent's feud with the music mogul and all the allegations he’s made against the latter.
The diss verse on the Hip Hop track, attending P. Diddy's roast party, and 3 other instances when 50 Cent threw shade at P. Diddy
1) Diss in his Hip Hop track from the 2006 G-Unit Radio 22 Hip Hop Is Dead album
In September 2006, the hit album G-Unit Radio 22 Hip Hop Is Dead was released. On the track Hip Hop, 50 Cent threw shade at Diddy and made serious allegations against the media mogul, insinuating that he allegedly knew who killed The Notorious B. I. G.
A part of the verse reads:
"Who shot Biggie Smalls?/ We don't get 'em/ They gon' kill us all/ Man Puffy know who hit that ni**a/ Man that ni**a soft/ He scared them boys from the Westside/ 'll break him off/ Dump on his a**/ So he run to Harlem shake 'em off,"
2) Supporting theories about Diddy allegedly being responsible for 2Pac’s death in February 2016
Greg Kading’s documentary, Murder Rap: Inside the Biggie and Tupac Murders, was released in 2015. The documentary follows interviews with lead detective Greg Kading and other witnesses, following information from police case files.
In the end, it was speculated that Diddy allegedly paid to assassinate 2Pac. 50 seemed to agree with the theory in an Instagram post In February 2016, where he said:
"LMAO SO PUFFY WIT THE SH** HUN ? ? SEE YOU GOTTA WATCH THESE PUNKS,? SCARY A** NI**AS A TRY YOU. #nopuffyjuice he killed Tupac lol."
3) Allegations made during his 'Final Lap Tour' in October 2023
50 Cent’s Final Lap Tour took place from July to December 2023 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his hit album, Get Rich or Die Tryin. In October 2023, 50 took the opportunity to call out P. Diddy again during his performance in Riga, Latvia. He said:
"It's some crazy sh*t that comes out of my mouth for no reason. For no fu**ing reason. Maybe I said that sh*t about Puffy because he got 2Pac killed.”
4) Reaction to the raiding of P. Diddy’s homes in March 2024
Before P. Diddy’s arrest in September 2024, agents from Homeland Security Investigations raided his Los Angeles and Miami estates on March 25, 2024.
According to ABC News, Two of Diddy’s sons, Justin and Christian Combs were detained during the operation and later released. The media outlet also reported that guns were found in both locations, and multiple electronic devices were seized.
50 Cent reacted to the news on his X account:
“Now it’s not Diddy do it, it’s Diddy done it. They don’t come like that unless they got a case.”
5) Attending a P. Diddy roast party on June 8, 2024
The 49-year-old rapper continued to troll the controversial music producer by attending a roast party held in June 2024 at the Dead Flamingo Pop-Up at Casa Tiki.
The event was hosted by comedians Brittany Brave and Danny Creamcity. The In da Club rapper secured front-row seats and seemingly laughed throughout the show as the hosts threw digs at Diddy and his associates.
The 49-year-old hitmaker mentioned that he expected Diddy to show up. he shared a video of himself at the roast party and captioned it:
“This was some cool sh*t to see in person, and the proceeds went to victims of s**ual assault.”
50 Cent announced in December 2023 that he would be producing a documentary for Netflix based on the allegations against Diddy. In an interview with Variety, the rapper and Alexandria Stapleton (the director) said “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far."
