Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain sued rapper 50 Cent for allegedly throwing a microphone at her during a 2023 performance, causing "severe and permanent injuries." Despite multiple attempts to get him to court, 50 Cent reportedly missed all deposition dates, including the latest on June 13, 2024, according to documents obtained by In Touch Weekly. The incident occurred in Los Angeles.
The footage of the moment showed 50 Cent taking a microphone and launching it into the crowd, however, the video doesn't show where it landed. Later, Bryhana claimed that it hit her forehead causing an injury. The Power 106 host is claiming $5K in sanctions from the rapper.

The alleged incident took place on August 30, 2023, wherein Bryhana was in the crowd of 50 Cent's concert when he realized his microphone wasn't working and tossed it toward the audience. According to Page Six, the Baby By Me rapper was handed several broken mics during the concert and the frustration of the same led him to throw one of those into the audience.
As per Bryhana Monegain's court documents, she suffered from a laceration over her forehead, pain in her left wrist, and a concussion. Bryhana also complained of sound sensitivity, headache, nausea, and dizziness after the incident.
50 Cent's attorney, Scott Leemon, gave a statement to Page Six in August 2023 wherein he mentioned that he didn't "intentionally strike" the Power 106 host and also mentioned:
“Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed."
At the time of the incident, 50 Cent was investigated for battery, however, the District Attorney did not press charges and handed over the matter to the LA City Attorney's office.
Additionally, since the incident and filing of the case, Bryhana Monegain's legal team has asked the Many Men rapper to give them a convenient date for the deposition multiple times without any response in return. After 50 Cent missed the latest court date of June 13, Bryhana's legal team requested the court's assistance in getting the rapper to make a court appearance, thereby filing a motion.
The motion states that the Ayo Technology rapper must appear before a judge on the rescheduled mediation date of August 5, 2024. The document of the motion reads:
"An Order compelling [50] to sit for deposition and provide testimony must be made forthwith."
According to TMZ, unnamed law enforcement sources reported that the Intro rapper threw the mic at his grew standing in the production area. However, Bryhana claimed that the rapper looked directly at her before throwing the mic.
Additionally, an unnamed source told In Touch that the singer was just throwing the microphone down into the pit area of the concert and nobody from the crowd was supposed to be there. Indicating that the rapper believed there was nobody in the pit area when he threw the mic.
