A$AP Rocky just held the first listening event for his highly anticipated fourth studio album Don’t Be Dumb, which is scheduled to be distributed to all major DSPs (Digital Streaming Platforms) on August 30, 2024.

The exclusive event was held this week at an undisclosed location but clips from the listening party found their way online, which gave fans their first look into what Rocky planned to bring forward on his upcoming LP.

News media outlets on X began sharing a screen recording of a story uploaded by DJ Suss One, which found the artist posing alongside A$AP Rocky, who was dripped out in Don’t Be Dumb album merch.

The screen-recorded clip from the event found both artists having a conversation while a Tyler, the Creator featured record was playing in the background. DJ Suss One captioned his story:

"Salute [A$AP Rocky] who played us some vibes & visuals!!"

The Harlem-born rapper announced the official release date for the album this week with reports from HypeBeast magazine revealing an extensive list of guest appearances who will feature on Don’t Be Dumb, which includes artists like Tyla, Tyler, Pharrell Williams, Madlib, and more.

Everything we know about A$AP Rocky's fourth studio album 'Don’t Be Dumb'

The hype and conversations around A$AP Rocky's upcoming Don’t Be Dumb album began to skyrocket amongst his fanbase and the hip-hop community after the rapper seemingly initiated the album rollout during the debut of his AWGE runway collection.

The collection was called "American Sabotage" and was previewed at the Paris Fashion Week last month. The rapper's fashion team modeled several pieces of clothing that featured the album's title and other accessories that referenced Don’t Be Dumb. Posters put up across the venue also hinted at the LP's oncoming release by stating:

“Don’t Be Dumb. You Know What To Do. Blame Rocky!”

The album has reportedly been in the works for several years, with A$AP Rocky first announcing the project during 2 Chains' Amazon Music Live concert series, back in December 2022, where the Harlem rapper confirmed Don’t Be Dumb was completed and will be released soon.

Given that this project has gone through several stages of production since 2018, Rocky seemingly held off on dropping Don’t Be Dumb for over a year before finally confirming the album's will be released this year.

Although the rapper has yet to unveil the complete tracklist for the project, several magazines and online communities have put together a potential tracklist for the album based on snippets and clips of the album that have surfaced over the years.

In a 2022 exclusive interview with GQ magazine, the rapper explained how a lot of his album's inspiration was drawn from Atlanta producer Metro Boomin's work, which could be a hint at the Like That producer's inclusion in the project.

The speculated tracklist for A$AP Rocky's fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, has been provided below:

  • THIS IS THE WAY THE WORLD ENDS (Feat. A$AP NAST)
  • Whiskey (Feat. Damon Albarn x Westside Gunn)
  • Sights (Feat. Playboi Carti)
  • Goin' Dumb* (Feat. Tommy Revenge)
  • Tailor Swif
  • RIOT (Rowdy Pipe'n) (Feat. Pharrell Williams)
  • All Black*
  • D.M.B.
  • GO! (Feat. Playboi Carti)
  • Same Problems?
  • Mushroom Clouds
  • Sh*ttin’ Me
  • GRIM FREESTYLE

Out of these songs, many predict that released singles like D.M.B., RIOT (Rowdy Pipe'n) (Feat. Pharrell Williams), and Sh*ttin’ Me, were dropped during the production of Don’t Be Dumb and will be included in the album's final tracklist.

The record included hit singles like A$AP Forever REMIX (Feat. Kid Cudi, Moby, and T.I.) and Praise The Lord (Feat. Skepta), the last of which has gone on to garner over a billion streams on Spotify.
