Ski Mask The Slump God has finally returned with his sophomore album, titled 11th Dimension, which follows up on his 2018 debut LP, Stokeley. The LP debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 album charts.

His latest project finds Ski adopting a fresh "rage-esque" cadence while retaining a lot of his original fast-paced, bouncy vocal performances that fans have come to adore over the past few years.

Although Ski Mask's 11th Dimension is not as sonically different from his previous work, we do see instances of growth and maturity sprinkled throughout the project, with an emotional interlude from his best friend and late rapper XXXTENTACION.

Ski Mask The Slump God's latest album, 11th Dimension, was released to all major DSPs (Digital Streaming Platforms) last Friday and was distributed via Republic Records and UMG Recordings Inc.

Off the bat, listeners are introduced to Ski's first rage-fueled track, titled DragonTooth, introduced by the rapper's iconic "Ayy" ad-libs that float over the heavily synthesized trap production.

Notable bars in this song include Ski's referencing Chief Keef's 2012 record, Laughin' To The Bank, on lines like:

"Make 'em disconnect, make 'em D-C / Straight out the comic book, this DC / Makin' moves on the board, Ouija / Laughin' to the bank, ke, ke, ke"

Ski recruits Atlanta's finest, ATL Jacob and Future, on Monsters Inc., which finds both rappers flexing their excessive lifestyles, from wealthy possessions to drug abuse.

The title on this track is a direct reference to the 2001 animated Pixar movie of the same name, which is only one of the many pop culture references made on the track. Some major culture references dropped on this track include the hit anime "Attack on Titan," SEGA video games, and "Kung Fu Panda," to name a few.

"Main protagonist, I'm in that b---h like Eren Yeager, huh / Set in stone like some hieroglyphics / Startin' to flow like a damn picnic / Biggest Ski, if we talkin' legacy" - Ski raps on 'Monsters Inc.'

Ski delivers some of the most aggressive bars on By Myself, which is a song that highlights his path to success and the luxuries he's attained over time, like expensive watches and iced-out chains.

"The cards that I dealt myself / No, I couldn't help myself, I went ahead, crowned myself / 'Cause I wanna belt myself in the north with the pole, no elf / Rockin' chrome when I'm smokin' on kelp" - Ski opens his first verse on 'By Myself'.

Ski's cadence and vocal performances on Earwax are some of the most standout moments on the track, with the rapper flexing his influence on the rap game since he first popped off, as well as lines that highlight his evolution as an artist.

The rhyme schemes adopted in his second verse are electric and bouncy, making for a great listening experience, with lines like:

"These n----s 'bout to make me use my tool / I ain't even really wanna lose my cool / Thought they was opps, really, they my food / Water on my neck, it like a damn monsoon"

Full Moon features some of Ski's most experimental writing and lyricism, with six individual verses delivered rapidly over thick trap production in less than 2 minutes, inviting listeners into a world of tongue-twisting rhymes and infectious rhythm.

Notable bars from this track include Ski Mask drawing comparisons between himself and Jesus Christ on lines like:

"I'm good in my hood, I been misunderstood / My clan don't wear hood, I'm OT tonight / The Percs are my vice, I'm rollin' my dice / I came back to life, I'm feelin' like Christ"

Ski goes rogue on Part the Sea, taking aggressive stances against all his haters and critics by highlighting his perceived skill level difference, all while adopting a vengeful persona over a production that progressively gets more amped up.

"Give a f--k 'bout opinion, you critic (Yuh) / So much numbers, they think I'm a digit (Yuh) / They be comin' up short like a midget (A midget) / On your block, I'ma spin like a fidget (A fidget) / It's a bird, it's a plane, like, who is it? (Yuh) / In this b---h with the broom like the witches" - Ski raps on 'Part The Sea'.

Track 7 on Ski Mask The Slump God's sophomore album '11th Dimension' (Image via Spotify)

In what appears to be a recording session from XXXTENTACION's 2018 chart-topping sophomore album '?', Ski presents a clipped outtake from X mumbling lines to what would become one of his biggest hits on his final studio album, titled Hope.

The late rapper shouts out friend and co-worker John Cunningham, who extensively worked on '?' producing songs like Sad!, Moonlight, and more. The interlude ends with X stating:

"Call Ski, yeah, What's going on? You the best friend that I ever had"

WDYM is likely one of the most emotional pieces of music Ski Mask The Slump God has written in recent times, with the rapper even singing through the chorus, expressing deep grief over being stuck in a tough mental space.

The track dives into themes of depression and loneliness, with Ski alluding to the passing of Juice WRLD and XXXTENTACION, leaving him with severe "PTSD" that he reveals he's been hiding from those close to him. Notable bars from this song include:

"Can you walk in these shoes? Have you see what I seen? / My life like a war in Belize, I'm dealing with PTSD / On a hammock while I'm sippin' coconuts and I'm enjoying the breeze"

One of the weirdest productions appears on a track titled Tuk-Tuk, with distorted synths and an overpowering bass that, at times, takes away from Ski's bouncy cadence.

The title of the track appears to have been inspired by one of his trips to Thailand, with the rapper recounting him riding in a "tuk-tuk." Other notable bars on this record include:

"Cut him up, botched him, no surgery / Eliminate my competition, I'm purging / How important is that to me? It's urgent / Can't be out here making moves without a purpose"

Ski Mask and Juice WRLD reunite on the track Wake Up!, which was initially supposed to be included on their scrapped collaboration mixtape titled Evil Twins, which was recorded around the same time the duo were working on their 2018 single Nuketown.

The song features both rappers hyping each other up throughout the song with their signature adlibs while adopting an aggressive flow that delves into themes like violence, drug abuse, and womanizing.

"I be on Perc'-o, haven't put the work in, A$AP Ferg-o, I been movin' like a robo' / Wet 'em up, Squirtle / Let's do a murder, No Limit gang, like my bro, C-Murder, uh / Pill pop, flip rocks, finesse rerock / Me and my gun got a lot in common, we both got big c--ks" - Juice WRLD raps on 'Wake Up!'.

Hulk is an interesting song, with Ski metaphorically equating himself to the fictional superhero Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk, who, because of extreme gamma radiation, turns into a large green monster whenever subjected to emotional stress, anger, or fear.

Ski cites that his strength, power, and money all resemble "The Hulk" before comparing himself to the DC villain Bane. The rapper even appears to take shots at Logan Paul and his energy drink company, Prime, on lines like:

"I'm special to them like a totem / Like show me to any opponent / Foreign toga on me like a Roman / Carats on me like the nose of snowmen / In my prime but I don't f--k with Logan"

We are then introduced to the second single Ski released for 11th Dimension, titled Headrush, which finds the rapper getting more experimental with his music by fusing trap with hard-core rock music.

The head-banging production on this track is carried by Ski's infectious cadence and flows, delivering hard-hitting lines like:

"Break the damn stage, on a rampage / Stand on business so much I started a stampede / She gon' handle me, yuh, like a twelve gauge / Power up like Kakarot, I'm in my last phase / Talkin’ to the bread, what the bands say?"

Ski highlights himself as being the "chosen one" by flexing his wealth, status, and ambition on Frozen One. With fun bars and several pop culture references, which include Adam Sandlers' 2008 comedy Don't Mess With The Zohan and Scooby Doo, the track is definitely an enjoyable moment on this album.

"Call up Scooby-Doo 'cause I'm a monster, go and find him / Somethin' like the Zohan or Godzilla, I'm a tyrant / We don't condone these b-----s, they off of the Earth like a grave, do you dig it? I got a bone to pick with these n----s that say that they really be spittin" - Ski raps on 'Frozen One'.

The production on KillStreak is euphoric, with the producers incorporating a distinct bell sound throughout the duration of the trap-inspired record. The lyricism is creative and delivered with exceptional quality.

"We package 'em, wrap 'em up, he burrito / That boy just like the Chief Keef song, he finito / I'm on a kill streak right now, okay, might just call in a VTOL / Only pop out on rare occasions, I'm a golden beetle / And I'm hard to find, like the haystack, I'm the needle" - Ski Mask raps on 'KillStreak'.

Ski infuses three different genres—trap, drill, and afro-house—on the Skillibeng-assisted track From Yard. Both rappers adopt a distinct Jamaican flow throughout the song, from their verse to the ad-libs, which gives this track a unique listening experience when put up against the rest of 11th Dimension's tracklist.

"Bloodclaat, bun 'em like Sprite / Yo, bredren, gwaan pass mi di light / Real general, real cannibal / Real taliban pon my side" - Ski Mask raps on 'From Yard'

The delivery and lyricism brought forward on Him Jung Un are extremely braggadocious, with Ski's excited flow carrying the track throughout its runtime. The chorus is very catchy, with the rapper flexing his wealth and status, best evidenced in lines like

"Okay, let's get s--t straight / 50K for the damn suit case / 50K for a n---a and he take Cash App if I wanna get you erased / Been booted with no lace / Eat Gabagool on weekdays / Been gone without a trace / In Milan, got good taste"

Ski's maturity and growth, both as an artist and as an individual, are at the forefront of Let It Breathe, a pop and R&B production that complements the themes of individuality and brotherhood.

"Very cerebral I bleed just like you bleed / We all pod with the P's / Just like peas in the pod / But we are more prestige" - Ski Mask sings on 'Let It Breathe'.

Ski had initially previewed Mandalorian back in 2021, naming the track after the hit Disney+ show based on the Star Wars franchise.

On the song, the Stokeley rapper dedicates a single verse to dive into themes of violence and status while referencing more Pixar animated movies like A Bug's Life and Finding Nemo. Notable bars from this song include:

"Huntin' rifle on me like a Mandalorian (Huh) / I learn from my past like a damn historian (Huh, huh, huh) / Finding Nemo, b---h, I'm in that water (Huh, huh), Dorian (Huh) / You alien, I'm Predator, tryin' to find your origin"

Ski is so energetic on Jump that listeners can't help but get amped up as the rapper delivers bar after bar over the bouncy trap production.

The head-bopping anthem creates an earworm of a chorus, with Ski acknowledging the infectious nature of his music, best evidenced in lines like:

"Comparin' me to anyone еlse 'cause I am not the usual / I'm irrefutable, blackout like it's a funeral / Slingin' spells like I'm Voldemort, talk to your b---h like Dolittle / Pass the Courvoisier, b---h, hush / This s--t was a lot, rockin' more gold than King Tut"

Listeners are then introduced to the lead single for 11th Dimension, titled Shibuya, which was initially released back in March. The song finds Ski drifting away from his signature fast-paced flows and tongue-twisting rhymes, with the rapper instead adopting a smoother melodic cadence.

The production on the track features electric guitar riffs and a thick bass, which is a sound popularized by rappers like Playboi Carti. Notable bars on this track include lines like:

"No snow on tha bluff, the wire, they think I'm 50 Cent, uh / I've been hittin' stains, vool, you too? Let's be Bonnie, Clyde, f--k ya sayin'? / We gon' be like Pablo Esco' / We don't need no f--kin' middle man"

The final track on Ski Mask's sophomore album is the Corbin-assisted Go!, where both artists adopt a wavy flow over a melodic synth-based production, ending 11th Dimension on a high note.

"Follow my voice, pull you from a dark place / Cut through the noise, listen what your heart says / Know you have a choice, know you carry light / Baby, it will lead you out of the night"

Ski Mask The Slump God's unique artistic identity and creative vision for this project are well established through dynamic flows over rich, rhythmic productions.

Ski effectively manages to treat his OG fans to fast-paced, lyrical flows as well as highlight his own evolution as an artist throughout the LP, making 11th Dimension an album that will surely grow to be regarded as a positive turning point for the young rapper.
