Britney Spears claims her foot is "already better" since the injury at Chateau Marmont earlier this month

The American singer Britney Spears recently updated her fans about the condition of her foot, after twisting her ankle at a Los Angeles hotel. On Friday, May 17, 2024, the 42-year-old posted a video of her swollen foot on Instagram and claimed that it had healed after an incident at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont earlier in the month. She said,

"Just last week can you believe it!!! How is it already better??? Well I was stubborn and did it my way!!! I didn’t listen to a... soul!! I even wore heels at night and danced with the saints!!!"

She also shared details about an extravagant trip to Mexico.

The singer previously explained that she had attempted a risky leap in the Marmont’s living room at the hotel in the early morning of May 4, resulting in the injury. She believed that it was a twisted ankle at the time.

Britney Spears spent her week in Mexico while her foot was swollen with bruises. The accident that injured her foot happened at the Chateau Marmont last week. The local fire department and an ambulance arrived at the hotel after the staff reported the incident. There were photos of the singer captured from the scene as she exited the building barefoot alongside rumored boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz.

Last Saturday, Britney Spears explained the situation to her fans. She went on her Instagram and said,

"I honestly wish my life was as wild as it has been portrayed!!! Either way, some sh*t actually has happened to my foot and I might have to get surgery … fingers crossed, hopefully not. It’s so bad. F*cking idiot here tries to do a leap in the living room of the Chateau, and I fell — embarrassed myself — and that’s it. They [doctors] always said it can heal on its own but there's a huge chance it can snap and break again 😬 !!!"

Britney Spears told her fans she was “walking on a broken foot” and that she refused to get professional help for the injury. On Friday, the singer posted a separate video showing how much the swollen foot had healed. She also talked about the things she did over the last few days as her foot was healing. She wrote in the caption,

"I finally told someone to their face for the first time ‘f*ck you’!!!' I took night drives that pissed me off because I wasn’t at the wheel!!!”

The pop star revealed that on her trip to Mexico, she swam naked in the ocean, drank "expensive wine", shot a dozen videos in new dresses, swim outfits and much more.

Britney Spears also mentioned her mother, Lynne Spears in the initial video. She claimed that Lynne was seemingly "involved" in the accident. She wrote in the caption,

"I know my mom was involved !!! I haven’t talked to her in 6 months and she called right after it happened before the news being out !!! I was set up just like she did way back when !!! I wish I had grandparents !!! I can’t stand her !!! I honestly don’t care I will say it 👍🏻🤷🏼‍♀️"
