The Island Boys have been the center of controversies multiple times owing to their feuds with popular social media personalities like Jake and Logan Paul and TikTok celebrity Bryce Hall. The twins were mentioned and mocked in Snoop Dogg and Kevin Hart's comedy special called 2021 and Done.

According to a report by entertainment website Dexerto on August 12, 2024, the Island Boys were banned from the livestream platform Kick on August 11, 2024, after one of the twins, Kodiyakred, slapped a woman. The stream's clips went viral on X, wherein Kodiyakred argued with a woman in their kitchen, resulting in him walking up to her and smacking her. The woman's brother got angry immediately and tried jumping at Kodiyakredd. However, he was restrained by people around him.
