"Tell him come to Toronto"- Top5 seemingly challenged Kendrick Lamar.
During his appearance on Late Night With Liyah Mai on October 7, 2024, Top5 seemingly challenged Kendrick Lamar when asked about the rap feud between Drake and Kendrick. Commenting on the same and describing how he'd take Kendrick down, the Toronto rapper mentioned:
"Tell him come to Toronto. Swiss cheese. I’ll get the low, put on my Nike tech black, tell YG get us a driver, put the window down and get some fresh air."
The rapper continued:
"How disrespectful are y’all to ask me about Kendrick Lamar? Drake’s a bad boy. There’s a girl right there, you want [her] to get you? Don’t disrespect my homie Drake like that."
This wasn't the first time Top5 reportedly threatened Kendrick Lamar. Previously, during his live stream with DJ Akademiks and Adin Ross in September 2024. Stating that he's looking for Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar, the Toronto rapper said:
"I’m doing my homework right now, I’m doing my task on them. Nothing incriminating, I’m just looking for them. I want Metro Boomin one on one. I don’t want no weapons, nothing. I’d knock him the f**k out."
He also allegedly threatened Kendrick Lamar on going to New Ho King, a restaurant that became popular because of the track Euphoria, and stated:
"Kendrick Lamar, you passed the border. Chubbs called me. I will quit rapping if Kendrick Lamar goes to [the Toronto restaurant] New Ho King without 20 police officers […] You’re crazy for testing my gangster. You see what happened to DJ Drama?"
In other news, Top5 was recently cleared of murder charges from a 2021 fatal shooting on September 23, 2024. The rapper was released after spending over three years in prison and mentioned that Drake supported him through the process.
