Barbie star Margot Robbie complimented Lovely hitmaker Billie Eilish during the latter's prank phone call during a Phoning It In segment for ELLE Magazine. Released on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, the Lunch singer prank-called the Wolf of Wall Street actress and asked her if she could use the actress' house to film a music video the following day.

Immediately after picking up the call, Robbie started gushing about Eilish's third full studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, which was released recently on May 17. The actress told Eilish after picking up her call:

"First of all, your album, I'm dead. Dead, dead, dying. We are obsessed with it. Cannot stop listening to it."

"It's unreal!" — Margot Robbie gushes over Billie Eilish's latest album

On Wednesday, ELLE Magazine released a Phoning It In video on YouTube featuring Billie Eilish. In the video, Eilish had to prank call several of her friends, family, and team. The singer had to relay a prompt provided by ELLE once the person picked up the call. Before starting the video, the singer noted that she hated pranks and was "filled to the brim with anxiety."

The first prompt required Billie Eilish to tell the person that the location for her music video fell through and ask them if she could record at their house the very next day. After contemplating calling Batman star Zoe Kravitz for a while, the singer finally decided to call Barbie star Margot Robbie. Eilish had recorded the Academy Award-winning track What Was I Made For? for Barbie.

After greeting each other, the actress exclaimed that she had her phone on airplane mode due to being on set and Billie's call still came through for some reason. She remarked that Eilish had a "magic phone line". Before Eilish could even ask her question, as mentioned earlier, Robbie showered the singer with praise for her latest album Hit Me Hard and Soft. The actress continued:

"It's unreal! We f**king listen to it all the time. Ever since it came out we're like 'Let's put Billie on.'"

Eilish told Margot that the location for her music video fell through and asked her if she could film it at her house. The actress responded:

"I ordinarily would say 'F**k yeah!' but we are packing up our house tomorrow."

When asked if she knew anyone who could give up their house for the music video, Robbie inquired about the "vibe" Billie was after. Eilish told her that the video would have "200 extras" and hence required a lot of space inside and outside. When Margot started thinking, Eilish immediately stopped her and let out that she was pranking her and was forced to say it.

Once Billie Eilish revealed that ELLE was filming her, the actress was audibly stunned and said hi to ELLE. The Lunch singer noted how much she hated pranks and told her she did not want to make her "so uncomfortable" as she didn't even know her "like that." The singer thought that Robbie was never going to answer her calls again. Margot Robbie assured Eilish:

"Oh My God! Prank me anytime. And also if you ever have a real request like that feel free to call me."

Elsewhere in the video, Eilish also prank-called rapper Tyler, The Creator and Madame Web star Dakota Johnson. She told Tyler that she had soiled her pants during a date and requested to come over to his house for a shower and some clothes. The rapper laughed and obliged.

To Dakota Johnson, Billie Eilish said that she was cast as a grown diaper-wearing baby in a movie as a baby and wanted advice. Johnson sounded quite relieved once the singer revealed it was a simple prank.

As mentioned earlier, Billie Eilish's latest album Hit Me Hard and Soft was released on May 17 and is currently available to stream on all major streaming platforms including YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.
