Batman star Adam West's daughter, Nina Tooley, praised Houdini hitmaker Eminem for his enthralling music video to the track. Tooley, whose father famously played Batman in the iconic 1966 series and film, expressed to TMZ on June 9 that her late father would have "loved" the music video. She stated that her dad would've especially loved the scene when Em comedically tried scaling a building.

The music video sees Eminem take inspiration from his 2002 hit Without Me. Although he didn't dress up as Batman, the rapper suited up as the iconic character 'Rapboy', a character dressed in the same gear as the caped crusader's trusty sidekick Robin.

In an article published on June 9, legendary actor Adam West's daughter Nina Tooley told TMZ that her father would have appreciated the rapper's music video to Houdini. She told the outlet

"My dad would have loved the video."

She added

"I could hear my dad’s distinct chuckle when the rapper was trying to scale a building with the ‘Bat Rope’ just like he and [Burt Ward] did in the series."

William West Anderson professionally known as Adam West portrayed Bruce Wayne and his superhero alter-ego in the fan-favourite ABC series Batman which ran from 1966 to 1968. West also portrayed the character in the 1966 film of the same name.

Different from all other actors who subsequently portrayed the role, West's version of the character was known for its iconic camp style and humor.

The music video to Eminem's Houdini offered a nostalgic throwback to Eminem's 2002 music video for Without Me. In the music video, the rapper is confronted by an imminent threat, a time-traveling Slim Shady, who suits up as 'Rapboy' to confront the infamous alter-ego of himself.

The yellow, green, and red costume for 'Rapboy' is a reference to the character of Robin, Batman's right-hand man from the Batman universe. The same character debuted in the Without Me music video.

Without Me also saw the iconic hip-hop producer Dr. Dre dress up as Batman, a role he reprised for Houdini. The Robin to Adam West's Batman was played by actor Burt Ward.

The music video features a hilarious scene in which Eminem's Rapboy tries scaling a building using a Bat Rope to fight Slim Shady with the track playing in the background. However, the rapper slips and falls causing the music to stay paused as he tries getting himself up again. This is a throwback to the comedic Adam West and Burt Ward's hilarious Bat Rope scene from the iconic show.

Towards the end of the music video, the final confrontation between Rapboy and Slim Shady takes place on top of the building, which results in the birth of a character representing a combination of both. The video, released on May 31, has already amassed over 63 million views on YouTube.

Apart from Dr. Dre the music video also sees a plethora of cameo appearances from 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Shane Gillis, The Alchemist, and Pete Davidson. Houdini is the first single released from Eminem's highly-anticipated twelfth studio album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce which will be released later this year.

Adam West passed away on June 9, 2017, aged 88 years after a battle with leukemia. As a tribute to the actor, a bat signal was projected onto Los Angeles' City Hall later that month. The signal was also projected onto the Whitman Tower in West's hometown of Walla Walla, Washington.
