Ariana Grande's prowess as both a singer and a songwriter is no secret. That said, the Positions singer has created many hits from tracks that were written or co-written by other artists.

Her Billboard-topping tracks 7 Rings and Side to Side serve as examples of such tracks where the songwriting credits are shared between Grande and other artists.

Ten years ago, Harry Styles wrote a song for Ariana Grande, that was released as a track in her sophomore studio album, My Everything. The track, called Just A Little Bit of Your Heart, was the second ballad in the album, whose songwriting credit was shared between Styles and Johan Carlsson.

In August 2014, Ariana Grande was interviewed by MTV about her second studio album. Giving an insight into My Everything, the singer-songwriter shared the stories behind its tracks, with Harry Styles' Just A Little Bit of Your Hear being in the focus.

Recalling how the song was created impromptu, the NASA singer revealed:

"(Harry) was just visiting the studio and (producers) Savan (Kotecha) and Johan (Carlsson) were like 'Hey do you wanna write a song for Ariana?,' and he was like 'Oh sure!'"

Grande further went on to confess how hearing the track for the first time had made her crying:

"He went into the other room and they were writing for a while and I remember when I heard it I was like 'Wow that's a really strong verse, that's really beautiful' and then the pre, I was like 'wow that's a really beautiful pre, that's a really strong pre!' and then the chorus I was like crying!

"So it's great.I'm really excited, obviously for his fans to hear it as well 'cause they were very excited when they heard (about it)."

As the name of the song itself suggests, Just A Little Bit of Your Heart is essentially a lover's plea, describing the turmoil of loving someone who doesn't love you back. The lyrics of the track speak of a painful yearning for the affection and attention of someone you love in the absence of it.

It highlights the desperation and vulnerability of not being loved by someone you love and how it pushes one to seek only a part, if not the whole, of their heart. It's also reflective of the willingness of a person whose feelings are stronger than their partner's to settle for less than what they truly want.

Five years after Just A Little Bit of Your Heart was released, another incident gave rise to rumors of the singers collaborating on yet another song.

It was in January 2019 when Styles "apparently" started following Ari on Instagram, which was noticed by fans and led to rumors of an upcoming collaboration, according to Teen Vogue.

However, no such announcement was made about their collaboration, eventually leading to the rumors fading. As of now, both singers follow each other on the social media platform.

In 2021, on his Love On Tour world tour, Styles also performed the track he had written for Ariana live in some of his shows.

Just as Ariana Grande has sung songs written by other artists, the Love Me Harder singer has also written (or co-written) songs for other singers several times.

In 2014, Ariana Grande co-wrote All My Love, a track by Major Lazer in which her vocals were also featured. The song was later released as part of the soundtrack of the Jennifer Lawrence starrer movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part-I.

In 2019, Ariana was one of the songwriters behind Motivation, a Normani single released on August 16. Grande also co-wrote another single that year - How It's Done, by Kash Doll, Kim Petras, Alma and Stefflon Don.

In 2020, Ariana Grande co-wrote a Childish Gambino track called Time, which was released in his fourth studio album, 3.15.20. Ari was also one of the vocal feature guests on the track.

The same year, Grande was revealed as a songwriter of Ice Cream - a great commercial success that featured a collaboration between Selena Gomez and the Korean girl band, BLACKPINK.
