Quentin Miller is an Atlanta rapper who is well known for being credited as a writer and for ghostwriting songs for other popular artists. Miller has repped his OVO connections through social media, posting OVO Ryan and PARTYNEXTDOOR quite often, identifying himself as a part of Drake's exclusive social circle.

Miller has also worked and is credited on some of Drizzy's projects, including the 2015 Grammy-nominated album If You're Reading This It's Too Late. Soon after the album release, the Drake vs. Meek Mill beef became a main point of discussion on the internet. It began on July 21, 2015, after Meek tweeted that the OVO CEO used ghostwriters for his songs. Although the tweet has since been deleted, it can still be found on multiple websites, including Genius.com

"Stop comparing drake to me too... He don't write his own raps! That's why he aint tweet out my album because we found out," Meek Mill's tweet read.

Drizzy responded to Meek's ghostwriting allegations and dropped Back To Back, following which he appeared to have commercially distanced himself from Miller. The ATL rapper was outed as Drake's "Ghostwriter" after Mill allegedly had the demo of Miller's recording on 10 Bands and other reference tracks leak online.

Over the last few days, clips from Quentin Miller's 2022 interview with DJ Vlad resurfaced on X. These show him recapping stories of working on music with Drake and diving into his contribution to If You're Reading This It's Too Late. In the interview, he also discussed his involvement in the 2015 rap beef and more.

1) Working on If You're Reading This It's Too Late

Miller told DJ Vlad why he appreciated his time working on If You're Reading This It's Too Late. He recapped memories of sending ideas to Drake and his team, writing over 5 songs for the album, and meeting Drizzy for the first time.

DJ Vlad asked Quentin Miller to explain the difference between working with Drake and other popular artists. Quentin said that he was surprised at how "regular it felt."

"To me it was surprising just how, like, regular it felt. It felt like making a song with friends. Just going back n forth, jus bouncin'... it was real down to earth vibes, in the studio, you know," Miller noted.

2) Co-writing Drake's verse for Meek Mill's R.I.C.O

A few months before Drake and Meek started publicly beefing, the two rappers featured together on Mill's 2015 album Dreams Worth More Than Money. DJ Vlad brought up the song and asked Quentin to break down his involvement in the song.

As per Miller, the only people who were aware of his ghostwriting work were DJ Drama and Drake, as they had received his demo for R.I.C.O. Following this, DJ Drama supposedly sent the track to Meek Mill, who had Drake feature on it, without Quentin being involved.

The writer-rapper then went on to discuss how he felt used in the Drake vs. Meek beef. He explained that Drama played a lot of Drake reference tracks with Quentin Miller's vocals in front of Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill. This event is what is claimed to have led to Meek Mill's 2015 tweet about Drizzy working with ghostwriters.

3) Getting caught up in the middle of the Meek Mill vs Drake beef

Quentin Miller then explained the reality of being drawn into a rap beef between two major rappers. He went on to explain how Meek used him as an example to put down the Canadian rapper's creative talent, which tarnished Miller's professional relationship with Drake.

He expressed how being outed as a ghostwriter led to many artists distancing themselves from Miller and his work. Quentin also spoke about how he felt OVO 40 and Drake should have dealt with this situation. He noted that they diminished him to control the situation, instead of uplifting him.

"One thing that I don't like that [OVO 40 and Drake] did man, you know, in hindsight... They felt like they had to diminish me to keep the situation... Why you s--tting on me, you could easily uplift me. I see bro uplift all kinds of artists. It just put me in a bad situation, it put a bad taste in people's mouth for me, especially in the industry," Quentin said.

4) Quentin explains how he never got paid for any of his work with Drake

Quentin Miller explained that signing a $30,000 publishing deal with Grammy-winning producer Tricky Steward affected his career as an artist the most. He claimed that, although the deal was really bad and he was unable to make ends meet, linking up with Drake appeared to be a major moment in his career.

Miller didn't break down the exact details of his publishing deal, but he noted that he holds a grudge for the way he was treated under the agreement that had him tied down for almost a decade.

He explained the difficulty of living under the repercussions of the Drake vs. Meek Mill beef and still being signed under Tricky's publishing deal.

"By the time it all blew up, I hadn't worked out whatever situation could have been worked out to where my life would have been changed, by the time it all blew up and Drake wasn't f--king with me no more, Drama wasn't f--king with me no more, and I still was in that publishing deal," Quentin Miller stated during the interview.

Consistent claims have been made over the years about Drake using ghostwriters, especially since the Quentin Miller x Meek Mill beef. However, the claims were heavily referenced this year during Drizzy's beef with Kendrick Lamar. K-Dot spent over four dedicated diss tracks claiming people in OVO and within Drake's circle helped him write on his records.
