According to The New York Post dated November 11, 2024, rapper Diddy has been kept in the 4 North unit of the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn. Gene Borrello, a former mob enforcer who spent time in the 4 North unit of MDC, shared that the one thing Diddy won't have access to is baby oil. Gene said:
"They used to have it in the commissary. But no more."
Borrello was referring to the 1000 bottles of baby oil that were seized from Diddy's residences in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024.
Gene Borello also commented on the situation with female inmates at the facility, stating that there are grates in one of the rooms of 4 North that have little holes. If one lies down, they can look through the holes, talk to the women inmates one floor down, and see them. Talking about Diddy interacting with those women, Borello said:
“He could if he wanted.”
Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, after which he was indicted by a grand jury on charges of racketeering, s*x trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.
"They are actually in a unit that is set up like a dorm" - Eponymous podcast host talks about Diddy's facilitation center
In the New York Post's piece about the Metropolitan Detention Center where Diddy is currently placed, eponymous podcast host Tiffany Fong shared that inmates are not in cells at the 4 North unit where the rapper is kept. Talking about the same, Fong stated:
“You envision them in small cells but they are actually in a unit that is set up like a dorm and designed for high-profile individuals. The president of Honduras was there.”
Fong said that "royal treatment" at the Metropolitan Detention Center means very small beds that are smaller than twin beds and are not more than a foot apart from each other. The beds at the facility are made of steel, with mattresses that are one-and-a-half inches thick and no pillows.
Commenting on the lack of privacy at the detention center where Diddy is currently placed, the podcast host said that the showers and bathrooms consist of a thin curtain wherein a "lot can be heard by other inmates".
Fong talked about there being headcounts during the day, inmates waking up early, and the lights going on and off early as well. Meanwhile, Gene Borrello who has done time at the center, said that if one is in contact with the right cop, they can spend all night watching television.
Additionally, G-Lock, a former inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center, told Fong that the female inmates aren't shy, adding that the women of 4 North consist of women from models to professional strippers who claim to have been recruited by Diddy's team for his alleged Freak-Offs.
G-Lock said that the women on the third floor were "gross", stating that most of them were drug addicts.
While Diddy's trial is set to begin in May 2025, the rapper has been denied bail twice so far. However, according to Deadline, the Last Night rapper's legal team is making a third attempt at bail, a hearing of which will be held on November 22, 2024.
