In an interview with The Art of Dialogue uploaded on YouTube on July 2, 2024, one of the three victims in Diddy’s alleged nightclub shooting incident, Natania Reuben, talked about how the incident affected her life.
Natania, who survived the gunshot to her face, recently came forward with claims that the District Attorney’s office relocated her because of threats to her life.
“I’m a Brooklyn girl; I was born and raised in Brooklyn. When the District Attorney’s office gets information from one of their confidential informant sources saying that there’s a bag on my head…,” Reuben said.
She also questioned the fact that she had to pick up and leave everything despite being a business owner in Brooklyn because her life depended on relocating. In December 1999, Diddy and rapper Jamal “Shyne” Barrow were involved in a disagreement at a club in Manhattan that ended with gunfire, leaving three people injured.
Natania Reuben says authorities can take out bullet fragments from her face and "use it as evidence" for trial against Diddy
In an episode of 'Elizabeth Vargas Reports' in March 2024, Natania told the host of the news show, Brian Entin, that she wanted the bullet fragments taken out of her face as ballistics evidence to get the 1999 nightclub incident case re-opened.
“I’m willing to have a doctor remove a part of the nine-millimeter bullet in my face so that they can use it as evidence if need be for this trial, and it may cost me my life,” she told the news channel.
Giving an account of what happened at the nightclub in 1999, Natania told 'Elizabeth Vargas Reports':
“I literally watched them pull out the guns, I had a clear point of view. I mean, for God’s sake, I got shot in my nose. I was facing them directly. I watched everything occur and have described it, vehemently to all parties involved."
In the 1999 case involving Diddy, his bodyguard Anthony Jones, and Barrow, all three were charged with gun possession. After weeks of trial, the rapper and his bodyguard were acquitted. However, Barrow was found guilty of five charges by a New York jury.
Natania Reuben has always maintained that the rapper shot her in the face and started giving interviews about it recently.
In her interview with The Art of Dialogue, Natania Reuben described that she witnessed four blacked-out SUVs at the corners of her house, which prompted her to worry about her safety. She also talked about how people defended Diddy when the surveillance video of him kicking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura came out.
Natania mentioned that she isn't surprised people deny her accusation of Diddy. However, she claims herself as the one who was physically there and that she is the survivor of the incident.
Diddy has been facing multiple lawsuits pertaining to sexual assault and accusations from producer Rodeny "Lil Rod" Jones. Jones claimed that he was subject to unwanted advances by the rapper's associates at his direction.
