From feeding baby tigers to petting small puppies to sharing a pet snake with her cousin, Beyonce has had a fair share of interactions with animals over the years. Queen Bey also currently owns a pet puppy which she got in 2016.

The media first discovered her new pet when she took a stroll with her fluffy white pooch and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter in 2016 and shared the snaps with her followers on Instagram. The Renaissance artist looked trendy with a baby pink skirt, white shirt, and black shades to complete the look. Meanwhile, her daughter sported a frilled pink dress with a flower for a crown.

It was also reported that the idea of a puppy first came to the mind of the Knowles-Carter household when they visited the Obama family to celebrate Labor Day and Beyonce's 35th birthday.

Michelle, Malia, and Sasha Obama owned two Portuguese water dogs called Bo and Sasha. This was what reportedly planted seeds in the mind of Queen Bey to have a pooch of her own.

Beyonce and Jay-Z went for a little adventure in 2015 when they visited Phuket's FantaSea Theme Park with little Blue Ivy. The family interacted with all kinds of wild animals at the park and chose to feed a tiger cub.

The picture of them feeding the cub went viral all over the internet and also caught the attention of animal activists. They argued that wild animals were kept to please people and suffer from human cruelty. The cubs are reportedly separated from their mothers almost immediately after they are born and raised in confined spaces without any freedom.

According to wildanimalprotection.org, tourists are often aware of the cruelty these animals suffer. The report also stated that almost half the people who go on these wildlife experiences do so because they love animals. However, they are completely unaware of the cruelty the animals go through before being presented to the tourists.

"A tiger is not a plaything. Their health and well-being should not be sacrificed for a photo opportunity. When you look behind the scenes, holiday snaps like these support an industry that relies on animal cruelty," commented Wildlife Animal Protection expert Dr. Jan Schmidt-Burbach.

The report also mentioned that the tourists are ignorant, stating:

"Many tourists unwittingly contribute to the suffering of wild animals like these. They’re simply not aware that their ‘once in a lifetime’ photo means a lifetime of misery for that animal.”

Furthermore, Beyonce's track record with PETA has been topsy-turvy over the years. The 42-year-old has often been criticized by the organization for flaunting her fur coats in public.

Very few fans know that Queen Bey also had a pet snake, which she shared with her cousin. The pet python was called Fendi and Beyonce talked about it in a 2002 interview with Rove. She revealed that the snake actually belonged to her cousin. However, the Cowboy Carter artist shared rooms with her cousin and that's how it became their pet.

Unfortunately, they had to get rid of the pet python because of Mathew Knowles' phobia of snakes.
