Snoop Dogg has been married to Shante Broadus since 1997. Dogg and Shante share two sons, Corde and Cordell, and a daughter, Cori. In an interview with People in 2010, Snoop and his wife revealed that Cori had been diagnosed with lupus in 2006. Snoop and Shante talked about their feelings of "helplessness". Shante said:
“No one could tell me what was wrong. They drew tons of blood and said she has old-person cells. They gave her all kinds of [medication]. But she went downhill.”
Cori was diagnosed with lupus when she was just six. However, Snoop Dogg, Cori, and other family members learned about the autoimmune disease together and helped Cori.
Dogg told People in 2010 that Cori is "the toughest."

Cori Broadus has followed her father's footsteps and pursued music. Cori performs under the moniker Choc. A few of her popular songs include Same and Love For Me.
She also founded Choc Factory in 2023 which sells beauty products like lip gloss and body oils. In an interview with Essence, Cori talked about the story behind her stage name.
“When I was a little girl, my dad [Snoop Dogg] used to call me ‘Choc’ because I was sweet and chocolate-coloured."
She talked about her products and added:
"That is what I put in my products that are handmade and filled with love and a touch of sweetness.”
Cori Broadus and her family have been open about her struggles with lupus. She also talked about the mental health effects of the condition and posted a few images on Instagram.
She said that her mental health had reached an all-time low and "at one point" she tried to "end" her life. She wrote that she is grateful to her fans, friends, and family and added:
"But you & my family really give me a purpose to live & helped me realize Iife is much more than materialistic things & you gotta just keep pushing through the bulls**t."
Early this year, Cori took to her Instagram stories and told her fans that she had experienced a heart stroke. According to Good Morning America, her story was captioned as:
"Like I'm only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this."
Months after her stroke, Cori has come back stronger. A post was shared by The Broadus collection for lupus awareness month. The caption stated that Cori had "lost her hair" after her lupus diagnosis. However:
"Cori didn’t let her diagnosis break her spirit, instead, she began to wrap her head in beautiful scarves."
This led the Broadus family to launch head scarves that would help people with similar experiences.
More recently, Choc dropped her single, Alligator, on June 6.
