The 2024 Global Citizen Festival will be held on September 28, 2024, at the Great Lawn in Central Park, New York City, New York in the US. The festival this year will be headlined by Doja Cat, Post Malone, Jelly Roll, as well as Rauw Alejandro and was announced by the organization on June 19, 2024, with the announcement laying out the aim of the 2024 festival in the following terms:

“The hunger crisis continues to grow, infectious diseases are still spreading, debt is on the rise, and last year was the hottest on record. Meanwhile, governments everywhere are reducing their contributions to foreign aid, with more than half of G7 countries having proposed cuts this year."

The announcement continues:

"Despite the emerging gap between what the world needs and what seems politically possible, the plight of the world’s most vulnerable communities is more urgent than ever. This is a critical year for the global community to support frontline organizations, invest in lifesaving solutions, and act today, to save tomorrow."

There are two ways to get tickets for the festival this year. Patrons have a chance to earn two free tickets per person by joining the app of the parent organization (available via iOS App Store and Google Play Store) and taking action on one issue of the patron's choice. According to the announcement, there will be a total of six separate free ticket draws, each requiring sixty points on a patron's account on the app.

The other way to get tickets is to buy them from the official website of the festival. GA tickets are priced at $79, VIP tickets are priced at $179 and Ultimate VIP tickets are priced at $3000.
